Apple iPhone X long-term review

18 January 2018
The introduction of Face ID and the removal of the Home button has resulted in a paradigm shift in the way we interact with our iPhones. Three of us have been using the iPhone X since launch and this long-term review covers what the iPhone X is like to live with on a day to day basis and we are ready to answer what's good and what's bad about it from a different perspective.

I own both iPhone X and Samsung S9. It is true that iPhone X in a way is greater than Samsung phone... But it has quite a few bugs of its own. When I bought the Samsung S9, I found it quite easy and a little bit lesser bugs than iPhone X. I do acknowledge the fact that Apple has been creating good products with top-notch security, iPhone X is no exception and also has this security. The only problem is the Home Bar and Face ID. I tend to play a lot of games so I find the Home Bar to be quite annoying. Face ID works quite well for me, maybe an 8/10 rating. It is quite difficult to open up your phone in the dark, but with patience, FaceID will work in almost any situations. I have to agree the fact that iPhone X is the start of the new generation phones... So if you're all up for the hype and excitement, then I do recommend it. But if you yourself need a proper functional phone, I recommend just getting iPhone S7, and if you want a newer and better version, the Samsung S9. Both phones are excellent, but can only fit a specific group's taste and use for the phone.

I read "we did have a couple of unfortunate and entirely random drop tets between us and the phones survived without any visible form of damage".

Im not so sure i trust people who drop their phones at random, you demand so much from FaceID but you dont even expect the users to be able to hang on to their phones? I am getting doubts that this is real life usage, seems like an extended review period where the main areas of focus is almost as narrow as in a regular review. Lets Face it, this review doesnt go very deep, its skindeep and short and not down to detail in any other area than FaceID.
