Sony Xperia XA2 review

Sony may be looking beyond smartphones but the Xperia line is still standing its ground. The recently unveiled Xperia XA2 series is not only a statement of persistence, but also shows intent for expansion. And the Xperia XA2 bodes well for Sony's new generation of smartphones this season.

    For me, it was this or the Xperia X for $230+ from B&H. The X has double tap to wake and dual front speakers. The Xperias released in 2017 lost that 2x to wake feature, FM radio, and even PS4 remote play.

    I'm choosing this XA2 because of a couple reasons -

    Fingerprint scanner without needing to flash to a foreign ROM. Finally!

    The Snapdragon 630 is successor to the ultra efficient 625.

    The battery at 3300 mAh looks good enough and lasts longer than the X.

    I really don't understand the negative comments. I used to own the S7 edge and it was overrated af. I despise glass backs, curved displays, and Samsung's trash software.

    Stick to Sony. All the sheep (which are in the billions) can continue to be duped by marketing and popularity contests and can have their iPhonies and Ga-lag-seas.

BTW this is just like every Sony phone. More comments than sales. Hope they do better Than what they are doing now and I believe they will. Love their PS4 and TV's and mirrorless cams

              In comparison to the A8, the Xperia has also gorilla glass 4. Differences are water resistance, battery size, panel type and price.

                            The ones in silver looks the best. Check Engadget and you will see why. I just need a small phone that doesn't break the bank and has great battery life. I don't expect $800 flagship camera quality.

                                    Note 8 has same sensor of S8 and difference is huge.
                                    Same between Z5, XZ and XA2.

                                    I have checked many phones, Note 8 and XZ1 are far ahead of Pixel 2, U11, iphone X and Mate 10.
                                    A bit advantage to XZ1..

                                    At least for ISO and GOOD Light

                                    Compare XA2 with S8. You will be surprised..
