Can samsung get some class and style to their phone?
Their phones look like construction work phones.

Battery is worse than any samsung flagship for year. There is basically no multitasking to talk off, a throwback to the past when opening a game was killing most of your background processes.
Samsung is in deep sh** with this phone. Or rather they basically force you to buying the S9+ that mostly solves those two exact problems...
Samsung pulled an iphone 8/x stand. Pyrposefully handicapping one of the models so that she may force you buy the more expensive one...

Does anyone bothers to check how camera quality changes when playing with "Skin tone" in Live Focus. Also "Color" and "Skin tone" in Selfie and Selfie Focus mode?
I can tell you that if you set those to 0 instead of the default values, the camera immediately reduces the "smoothing" effect and the details become much more prominent. Just my 2 cents, since those 3 camera modes are quite important and used a lot these days, so the quality improves a lot!

Currently getting 40-45% left on the S9 with moderate usage in a day. Heavy usage always killed the battery of the S7 Edge within a day, as expected with any phone. Games, Videos are always going to drain phones within a day. That's something we can't get over with until battery tech advances as fast as processor tech.
It's a shame. The last 3 day battery (at least) I got out of a phone was with the S2 with a custom Android build.

Cheaper prices? It looks to me that this is one of the few innovations that they offer, as it certainly isn't display technology and notches.

There is simply a transfer of power from the stagnated koreans to the innovative Chinese , all the while fanboys are in denial. Either you demand from Samsung to step up, or see it follow Nokia , Blackberry and Erricson into the annals of history...

The smartphone market is starting to stagnate. Samsung's competitors hardly offer anything groundbreaking.

S8 sold 38 mil. That is the least than any S phone since S1. So obviously Samsung is doing something terribly wrong, and they are doubling down with S9... you can see why many are unimpressed. This company is going *down* any random chiense company can give you more at this point (oppo, huawei, xiaomi)...

I get many are disliking samsung because its samsung and S9 costs a lot.
Remember you dont HAVE to upgrade your smartphone each year. Its up to you to decide if new version is worth it or not.
I have been looking new phone for many years and finally decided to buy S9. Jumping over from One plus which has been great for price/spec overall but there are not other phones that have wireless charging i need now for my new car. Only iPhone or samsungs and its clear why i would pick Samsung (Waze not supported by Apple).
If you dont need wireless charging and great camera you may aswell buy Sony or any of those multiple asia phone versions. Thats the end of story. No one will notice that much difference over small upgrades with CPU GPU and so on. Its all about style and wireless charging possibility.

Again. You keep failing miserably. And confuse your own preference of things with facts for everyone. I think I've schooled you enough

Anonymous, 14 Mar 2018S9 3000mah vs s7 3100mah
S9 plus 3500mah vs s7 edge 3600ma... moreThat's not facts and logic, that's madness.
S7E: 5.5 inches,
S9: 5.8 inches.
Those two are comparable, both size wise (as devices) and power wise (similarly big screens and hardware)
Samsung has dropped the small models in case you haven't noticed.
So their medium/big model has 3000 mah battery.
That is *ridiculous*.
There is a reason why S8 sold so low (only 38 mil, s7 sold 60 mil).
Nobody likes Samsun's direction.
