Oppo R15 Pro review

15 April 2018
The Oppo R15 announcements was tainted by a massive media charade. Between the OnePlus 6 guesses and keywords clickbait, it was a tough job to see what the Oppo R15 really was. Especially when the R15 name was nowhere to be found. So, today we'll try to correct this wrong by taking you on an adventure with one of China's latest fashion icons.

Yeah, the microUSB is a let-down... but at least it has OnePlus'es VOOC which is much faster and cooler than Qualcomm's Fast Charging protocol.

Also, while the QSD 660 performance is acceptable... its barely as fast as the QSD 820, and noticeably slower than the QSD 835 and QSD 845.

And the lack of ingress protection is a real downer. That's right, no IP68 not even IP67 or IP65. Do not drop this in a puddle, toilet, or basin. This review is wrong with the quote "So, the real question is if the extra $50 are worthy of that water-sealed body you get with the Pro".

However, what's the worst part about this is the price.
It's going for around US$599, or e599 Euros... so its definitely in the low-flagship price bracket.

This is bad news for Oneplus 6.
I am pretty sure the hardware is identical so the speaker and camera will be mediocre at best. No amount of software can fix poor hardware.
