How lngbit can maintain 1000nits brightness, 30 seconds like LG G 5 could have high brightness under direct light?

Whatever they tells this phone looks like cheap Chinese phone. And when they will update it? Traditionaly after year or more after Android P release? Guys, it's LG, Don't wait flagship-grade support from that company. They will throw you again.

My experience w Samsung phones and tablets tellz, that they use soft DAC's for digital-to-analog and hence are not really audio phones. The choice – either a good audio phone, or a separate portable player/DAC. Wanna se, what LG offers. As the phones go, my old Galaxy S5 still performing decently, except the audio.

Anonymous, 02 May 2018Computers dont have oled. Most TVs dont have oled. Electr... moreOLEDs are very costly panels. That’s the reason why all OLED TVs cost upwards of 1500USD, which is not in general consumer’s price range. The price will come down in future and you will get to see wider acceptance. Regarding phones, Note8’s and iPhone X’s screens are considered among the best, in fact among the top 3 in the market.

I would say that I'm disappointed, but honestly as a G6 owner I didn't expect anything good anyway.
Big size, poor battery life, locked bootloader and no updates. I've seen it all, thanks, not gonna fall for it again.

Sorry but can somebody enlighten me what does ThinQ mean?
Thin as Q? ThinG? Thingy?
A clever-clog spelling of Think but has no meaning?
Is there a G7 version without ThinQ?

LG Superfan, 02 May 2018How the F is that Notch same as Secondary Screen its useles... moreWell, LG did get this patent before: https://www.slashgear.com/lg-v30-could-use-this-patent-for-a-bezel-less-second-screen-19485631/
Hope they did in fact add some of that functionality to the notch bar rather than just applying the "second screen" name to what everyone else did.

AnonD-744437, 03 May 2018Rgbw LCD uses 35% less power due to the extra white pixel t... moreIn turn of using RGBW, colors are gonna be muted but not exactly color accurate since the white pixels interferes with the brightness of the RGB colors.
Another is, it is now in Diamond PenTile pattern, which is considerably inferior to RGB in shear sharpness.
You do save some power, but you loose punchiness on the screen.

Anonymous, 02 May 2018- Android 8.0 - 4 GB RAM - LCD-screen - 3000 mAh I th... moreRgbw LCD uses 35% less power due to the extra white pixel to illuminate the display instead of relying on the backlight to shine thru the lcd. Snapdragon 845 also uses 30% less battery compared to snapdragon 821. Because it can achieve brighter output with less power consumption. The battery life is gonna be the same as g6 if not better even the battery is smaller.

Coolman2, 02 May 2018I think the stadium out feature is the Audio: HiFi DAC , S... moreAlmost every flagship now comes with stereo speakers (and IMO, the best implementation of it is from Sony with dual front speakers).
Every smartphone nowadays also have very good DAC, and the one on this phone is just a tad better, but not enough to make the others sound considerably worse.
Besides, Quad DAC can easily drain the phone's battery, and with that being said, the G6's battery life (with a smaller screen yet bigger battery) is already terrible without that feature.

g6 user, 02 May 2018It's just the LG G7 doesn't have a standout feature. Not th... moreDidn't you understand?
You are talking about LG of the past, which is way better than today's sh*t from them.
Yes they were innovative before, and now what happened?
This as* looks as generic as any other smartphone while not having any distinct feature that can't be found on other smartphones nor better than what others have.
And this is all without talking how the battery life will be.
The G6 is already terrible at that, and we don't see it changing anytime soon, heck may even get worse.

Most TVs dont have oled.
Electr... moreThe difference is that they're not phones.
We use phones more often, and OLED is better for long period of viewing experience.
And we're definifely not expecting a weak cr*p IPS LCD or POLED screen from a manufacturer that makes one of the best TVs around.

Yosef W, 02 May 2018They hv quad-dac thoIt doesn't stand out that much, because the rest like SAMSUNG and Sony have been using Dolby Atmos and Hi-Res Audio respectively, both are also great DACs, and it is competitive with the SABRE DAC used on LG smartphones

Anonymous, 02 May 2018if you hide the notch by software, things like clock and ba... moreWhats a point of these notches, if everybody will hide them with black bar, at least in phones where is this posibble with options in UI (maybe in stock Android will not be the case).
Why just they dont make phones like V30, or S9, or Mi Mix 2s with same or similar top, in that case no need to hide notch..
iPhone X, at least have that biometric or something like that, sensor inside notch..
