HTC U12+ hands-on review

23 May 2018
The HTC U12+ has a tall 18:9 display, no headphone jack and a dual camera with 2x zoom, but skips one trend - the notch. We go hands-on.

Vaio Agent, 24 May 2018just an upgrade version from HTC U11, nothing impressive!Isn't that kind of...the point!? DUH.

Its a substantial upgrade over the U11+/U11. Louder and better speakers. Slimmer bezels. Special transparency edition. New LCD panel. Touch sensitive sides 2.0. Dual cameras.

Amazing specifications, great design, and even more important, NO NOTCH. Bravo HTC, this would be at top 5 best smartphones this year, not #1 just because there's no headphone jack; but this is a great improvement over the HTC u11.

It would seem the right phone to replace my S8+, definitely better than S9+.
But it's heavier and wider and with 5% bigger bezels.
The extra ram seems like a step forward, but without the AMOLED screen, i believe the battery performance will be inferior too. Whilst the previous 4000mah would give it the edge.
As for the camera, to me the most important ability, is low light performance and to my experience, the best performers are the ones with bigger apertures, that permit more light to the lens. For some odd reason HTC reduced the aperture.

So overall, not much of an upgrade, consider that HTC doesn't officially sell their phones in Europe any longer and i ll have to bother with overseas costs and risks, it definitely doesn't worth the Hussle...

                    It looks like a contender.
How does your phone compare to it regarding camera, screen & speakers?

This the phone that have the Amazon voice assistant isnt it. That rear panel so shiny. Squeeze phone. Hmm..see I have nothing good to say about this phone. The interest factor is zero.

and before you see any review about the battery life, it's kinda lame your comment...

                                      Never ever buy HTC U12+
I got my U11+ on Dec 2017 last year.
They only release one round of update on Dec 2017 and never have any security patch update.
No worth to spend this amount money to get a flagship device with NO SYSTEM UPDATE.
                                      BEWARE!

just an upgrade version from HTC U11, nothing impressive!
