If the letter T is OnePlus' way of branding an interim half-generation upgrade, why isn't this latest one named the 5TT? Yes, we're talking about the OnePlus 6, and a quick look at the specs will tell you what we are on about. Still let's not dwell on what hasn't changed and focus instead on what has.

      OnePlus even added a glass back to this phone, so why is there no wireless charger?
      The phone is at least somewhat waterproof, so why not put an IP rating and cover it under warranty?
      The phone has near-stock Android, so why not go one step further and make it Android One?
      OnePlus is owned by a huge company with breakthrough devices (vivo NEX), so why not get rid of the notch and stop copying other OEMs? (Apple front, Samsung back)
      The phone has a fast processor, more than enough RAM, and 4K60 video recording, so why sell a 64GB version without microSD slot?
      Battery life is extremely important, so why does a new phone have worse battery than both of its predecessors, and even other phones with the same capacity and screen size (LG V30, Galaxy S8+/S9+)?
      It has a dual camera, so why not make the second lens actually do something useful other than "enhance portrait shots"?

      The answer is because OnePlus wants to make a thick, fat profit margin by selling a phone that has no unique qualities and a severe lack of features by copying designs from bigger companies, slapping a fast processor and RAM into it to look good in benchmarks, and then selling it for $100-150 less than a truly great phone.
      Shame on them.

It's obvious everyone is copying style of Apple's notch. I simply don't expect that from a phone that pretend to be one of the best on the market. Also, with all other cons, I don't think this phone deserves 8. Don't be typical fanboy, try to objectively look at things.

              I buy a flagship phone each year . Battery sot 6 hours more than my s9+ , and my u11, the oneplus6 is so fast compared to those phone's too , zero lag . The charging is brilliant and fast and the camera easily comparable even when put on my 65 oled TV screen. The screen is nice and bright. I can't believe people are calling this phone it's awesome. You must not have actually tried it . PS just had the update which has improved the audio alot and the battery a little more but 6hrs sot is already good for me.

                Awesome phone.. but now I upgraded latest oxygenos where they provided potrait mode for front camera but that is not working. .

                    NO DUAL screen mode, like samsung and sony, you can actually open two applications on one screen, bad battery and no waterproofing ! this phone is good but i think some new phones are better than this one.

                      Its a great phone, yet I hate notches and wont ever buy a notched phone. There are good designs out there - even if it is samsung, its much better looking. But right now im satisfied with an imported mi mix 2(s) all the way. Its even as expensive as the oneplus. Don't like the way oneplus is heading right now.

                            Ok I must admit, that half notch/half bezel option looks quite nice. Well at least on the home screen with a colored wallpaper

                                    OnePlus 6

                                    Pros:
                                    - Price is slightly cheaper than flagships
                                    - Stock Android
                                    - Very Fast charger
                                    - Fastest QSD 845 SoC
                                    - Good screen
                                    - Good build quality
                                    - Great front camera
                                    - 3.5mm and USB-C
                                    - All the radio connectivities we needed
                                    - Very fast memory and storage

                                    Cons:
                                    - Price is more expensive than 1+3, and much more expensive than OnePlus One
                                    - Not AndroidOne
                                    - Small battery capacity
                                    - Poor music/speaker performance
                                    - NOTCH and 19:9 (letterboxing makes device unnecessarily larger)
                                    - Bad build materials (glass back is prone to shattering)
                                    - No IP68 protection
                                    - Poor rear camera
                                    - 3.5mm lacks QuadDAC, USB-C is not USB 3.1 but very slow USB 2.0 spec
                                    - No Wireless charger
                                    - No microSD storage (great for video recording, movie storage, emulators)

                                    Kangal Rating: 7/10.
                                    Keep your OnePlus 3/Samsung S7 if you still have it. If you must upgrade then there's the option of Nokia 7 Plus and Xiaomi Mi A2 for cheaper, the Xiaomi Mi 8 Explorer and the Black Shark for similar price, and the Samsung S9+ or Huawei P20 Pro for slightly more money.
