Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 AI Dual Camera review

14 June 2018
Looking at the title of the review, we can't help but think a quick explanation is in order. Namely, one clearing up which product we are reviewing. We've seen horrible naming conventions in the smartphone realm time and time again, but as far as sheer complexity and confusion of choice goes, Xiaomi arguably takes the cake with the current Redmi generation.

Qualcomm page specifies Snapdragon 636 has 8x Qualcomm Kryo 260 cores distributed in 2 clusters, 1 for performance and 1 for efficiency, instead of 4x Kryo 260 + 4x A53 as you have stated in your database, please correct it.

The only hardware difference between Indian and chinese version is camera. Chinese version supports dual volte which is coming with oreo update for Indian version.

In many review i think the EIS perform better in Redmi Note 5 AI than the OIS on Zenfone 5, but I might wrong. Anyway, is it the same DualPixel technology that been used on Samsung Note 7 and later products?

MG7, 15 Jun 2018I said same sensors. Yes MI 6x has wider aperture means bet... moreWrong. Wider aperture DOESN'T mean better (low light) photos. I know that manufacturers convinced you that it does mean that, but it doesn't. They convinced you in that false theory just so they can squeeze more money out of you.

This mobile is very bogus I had a Redmi Note 5 Pro that got spoiled due to charging And the company is saying there is no fault in us Please buy this mobile no

Is the Sony IMX486 a good sensor??
I saw it on the speculations on my Redmi 5 Plus, and as far as I know, this is a 1/2.9" sensor, which makes the 1.25um pixel size claim by Xiaomi to be true.
Idk, but I actually get some good shots at times with this camera. Processing is a nice resemblance of some old flagships in the 2015 era, with moderate but tolerable level of noise at any lighting condition, and autofocus that is just a notch below the 2018 flagship standards.
