25 June 2018
To find out how easy or frustrating it is to live with the Galaxy S9+, we used it as our one and only smartphone for an extended period of time and we are ready with the verdict. Once we go past the superficial aspects (such as looks), there are a lot of new things crammed into this glass and metal package, which are worth talking about. So join us over the next pages as we take a look at what makes Samsung's latest flagship tick, where it delivers more than we expected, and where it falls short.

Surprisingly the first Samsung without so much lags and stutters. Sound like a good device.

The phone ju... moreI just hope the next update won't slow down the phone and introduce lags or stutters as well as more battery drain. Apple has been known to do it and likely other Android manufacturers too. Planned obsolescence tactics to make the user upgrade, just in time when a new model is released.

Absolutely no need to celebrate this review... The phone just got it's 1st update. So meh, it's been basically the same out of the box since lunch. From after next update(hope its not in another 3 months time), then this review could be waaaay different, if GSMA is sincere enough ofcourse.

Placed my order for the XZ2, don't really care about anything else. *Moving on*

Android - Prime, 26 Jun 2018I agree on everything written in this long term review exce... moreI couldn't agreed with you more, Huawei is playing simple trick on battery life with FHD+ screen(for example on Huawei Mate 10 pro's display with 2160x1080pHD running on 4,000mAH) and it can juice out the best of battery life, because we can barely see a huge difference on pixel density of 6 inches and 6.3inches(1440x2960) display!

Hate as much as you want, bcos so far, they are the only one who listens to customers and stays away from what most of their consumer's hated stuffs plus they are the one and only company for now to admit their mistake publicly and correct it properly in the upcoming ones, also the one they have made(Note 7 FE)!

Apple keeps blaming their craps to users' fault, oneplus secretly collecting user's data for their own purpose etc

Suggestion for Huawei: Learn from Samsung. Stop producing sealed battery flagships with huge 4000mAh batteries. That's the reason why my 2014 Huawei Mate 7 is still very reliable with 6 hrs average screen on time despite being almost 4 years old.

My A5 2017 has like twice as much. And Ive paid 175 euros for it ..
                    Nice flagships, Samsung.

Suggestion for the Samsung S10: Add more cameras, more megapixels, more RAM, a newer processor, some new photo/camera slow-mo/portrait gimmick, etc. but please don't ever increase battery capacity. More cameras, more everything will justify your ever increasing flagship costs while still maintaining the phone's life within a 1-2 year average. After all, small sealed batteries mean deeper discharge levels, more charging cycles, and hence, shorter battery and phone life. Good way to hide your planned obsolescence without looking guilty.

4-5 hrs average on screen time as of June 2018. Released March 2018. That's barely 3 months. One to two years from now, it will be 1-2 hrs average on-screen time. Good job Samsung. Your planned obsolescence is working as scheduled. People will be buying your new model next year if they can't tolerate the drastically reduced battery life.

The build quality and interface of samsung is awesome. The only thing I hate is for every two weeks they release new model, If you buy s9+ today after 2 weeks your mobile become old because of s10+. other wise I like samsung

I'm glad that the long-term review turn out to be very positive. It's years of hard work, and listening to users' feedbacks. Everything that has been discussed here is true and a reflection of reality when using the device. I own one and I can say that it is an all-rounder; stellar camera in any light condition, very smooth day-to-day performance and gorgeous topnotch (without the notch) display. It's indeed a polished S-flagship to date.

Imperator Neubaticus, 26 Jun 2018Still stuck in the past kid? By all means, stay there. Nobo... moreNo infinite autonomy is the future. It kind of sucked in the past. Present sucks too, it's a bit worse than the past.

In the future you won't have to charge your phone as if it is freaking 1990, you won't have battery anxiety, you wont have button or bezels.

It seems like you are living in the past. It is because of you we still get 3.5mm jacks. Heck we may have had floppies still because of people wanting to model the resent into the past.

If you read my past I was ppsting about *evolution*. Samsung does not evolve. It devolves into the new blackberry... Haha, what a dumpster fire.
