LG G7 ThinQ review

03 July 2018
LG is finally releasing a G-series phone with the latest Snapdragon - yay! Regardless whether we have some supply chain optimization or LG's product planning to thank, the fact of the matter is the G7 ThinQ is now available internationally and it's a proper high-end device.

Icons still ugly, just like in G5, which I had 2 years ago. And DAC remains, not like in G6.

Still wired connections is awkward. Unless your phone has a dedicated HDMI port then you cannot charge your phone while playing games or watching videos. Just saying.

Wired connection is always better if you want quality, if you do not matter about quality miracast is good for you. But HDMI out is always better. This is the reason for all computer has HDMI out.

Wired connections is so primitive and hazzle.

It is a win-win for the phone makers. Guarantees a outlay for additional hardware to support the phone, while assuring that the said phone will need replacement in two years due to a work out battery in a sealed phone.

LG has removed this features via software! When you connect a display port adapter the smartphone detect it, and indicate that is not aupported... It is a shame.

If this new generation of phones whould have the old design of the LG G2 but with a higher body ratio, it would be amazing.

Going from nougat to oreo has not improved battery life for any phone that i know of.

                                2. G7 ThinQ has a more energy efficient chipset.
                                3. G7 ThinQ runs on Android Oreo, which is far more energy efficient than Nougat.

Walter C. Dornez, 07 Jul 2018You mean the formers? No, they're definitely the latters
Say for instance in battery life, the XZ1 pumps out a total of 82h with a measly 2700mAh battery on a 5.2" IPS LCD HDR display.
It's really just that LG isn't known for good battery life devices.

How can battery life be stated as a negative, and just about average, while the same 77 hours in the meizu 15 review it is mentioned as very solid battery life? 77 hours is same as s7,s9 and battery life was never critisized there.
