Xiaomi Mi A2 review

The Xiaomi Mi 6X has finally gone global and we have a play date with the international Mi A2. Some big shoes it has to fill - the Mi A1 was such a well-rounded yet affordable smartphone that it would regularly feature in our review conclusions as the main alternative for a wide range of competitors. Can the Mi A2 top that?

Hi, how to show GALLERY tab on this phone, its so uncomfortable to using google photos as its default photo/image viewer.

And in phonebook always shows 2 copy per contact, wheres the setting location of this problem.

i have been using this phone for 3 days, but couldnt find the solution, i need ur guidance please, thank you.

    Xiaomi should understand that in Europe we need NFC!!! It is a simple small five dollar chip.

        Battery is not an issue as people say. 6-7 sot for me with mixed use. Reaches 2 days most of the time. I do not see the issue with sun light screen brightness either being that serious. Screen is not bad even under full sun light.

            Does this phone come with Li-Ion or Li-Po battery and how much is the capacity? I found some web wrote different capacity and different battery type

                It harder to recommend than mi A1, my thoughts exactly.
                I was excited to see A2 as a successor of A1, with sd slot, headphone jack, better screen and SD 636 or 660 and better camera but it's just before I start to think that A2 is going to be Xiaomis biggest flop so far.
                So much expectations and so little delivered.
                Mi A2 lite feels like a much better option and if lite model had usb c it would be defenetly a better choice.

                      I do have 32GB (24GB usable) + 32GB Samsung EVO. internal memory is mainly filled up with apps, photos (camera, screenshots and my Snapseed works), some apks, and WhatsApp backups. All of that takes 20GB when i typed this, while the SD Card contains my youtube offline videos, musics, left 10GB of free space.

                      All of that issues of what you've said doesn't count as the reason why they should remove the sd slot, because you could avoid it by yourself (a personal preference), not by enforcing people to not used it.

                        Well i am not here to promote any phone...its a honest analysis.. so lets start...
                        1.Many people are asking about memory card issues but guys do you know that companies often remove card slot since they know that low end cards can affect the phone speed (FOI there are different kind of storage) thats why iphones have no card slot. However 64GB is enough for most users .You can also use Otg in any case.
                        2.Headphone jack is not much debateable issue as wireless music is trending and premium phones are adopting same. However you the provided adapter for your traditional earphones.
                        3. Those people who are saying about sunlight contrast ratio should understand that we need deep blacks for correct color production not bright whites.And these are technical points guys, only a well trained engineer can understand this!!!!

                        So these are the points that people are using as cons for this Gorgeous phone.

                        Now come to its PROS section which is more important....so read carefully..
                        1. Design and look- A metal unibody which makes it to like a premium phone. Curved display makes the perfect symmetry as notch is not as hot . You get a certified Corning gorilla glass 5.
                        2.CAMERAAAA-These repeated A signify its camera quality.You can understand its quality that a big youtuber (Mrwhosetheboss) even compare it with the likes of s9+ and oneplus 6. I think the camera alone overshadows the above 3 cons in case you considers. A dual f1.7 aperture means light conditions are not any issue and well saturated images.
                        Performance-SD 660 ~~SD835. It means this chip along with smooth android one combines to give you a totally unmatched experience in mid range segment.
                        4. Software- One of my favorites (also of many people) .I love this. Google powered software make your smartphone experience incredible.You get the released Android 9 Pie very soon.With this you can assured with atleast 2 year updates.



                        At last dear readers consider the price point $255(17499).You will surely not ask more.
                        And if you even need more then go for IPHONE X...LOL$%$&*....

                        I will strongly recommend it to mi ai users( including me) to go for mi a2 along with new users.

Let's focus into this one : SD Card... moremaybe focus on this. many people use sd card because they think if they use internal storage, the phone will slow down. this is totally silly. I have seen many people use sd card and let the internal storage half empty. the question is why? why buy the 64gb phone then add 32gb of sd card only to left the internal storage half empty?

                                Well well well I cannot believe they actually put that seem stupid small crappy battery in this phone with all that it has going on with the big screen they should be ashame wasting a good phone with that stupid battery capacity I was going to purchase it but I waited on these guys to give a good battery life look at the a 6 Plus by Samsung they put in a 3700 and it gives you a hundred plus they got a 3000 and trying to give you 70 it should be ashamed I had expected more of these guys to do the right thing. I was going to purchase this for a special friend but I think I'm going to pass again by stupidity put in a bigger battery 3700 4000 the phone would have been perfect but once again I don't know what's going on to you guys heads no one wants a four-wheeler have to be I was looking for a charger all the time of putting it in ultra power-saving mode just to try to have the phone lights on or something it's a pity who whoever is the one that makes these stupid decisions they should be fired

                                  : P the screen brightness and battery could be much better... it's a shame that they are inferior to regular redmi products.

                                    There was no need for display with rounded corners. It seems to be the trend even for phones which have sufficiently large bezels. I use phone for Windows Remote Desktop. Rounded corners ruin desktop experience. There are other cases when rounded corners hide screen content. Thankfully there are still some alternatives with standard displays.
