Xiaomi Mi A2 review

The Xiaomi Mi 6X has finally gone global and we have a play date with the international Mi A2. Some big shoes it has to fill - the Mi A1 was such a well-rounded yet affordable smartphone that it would regularly feature in our review conclusions as the main alternative for a wide range of competitors. Can the Mi A2 top that?

    I think people have been spoiled by the excellent Redmi Note 5 pro which had a bigger 4000 mah battery, 3.5mm jack and a higher res screen and its cheaper. All in all the M2 has been a great disappointment for many.

          no SD card i can live with but no 3.5mm hp out, sorry xiaomi but that is a deal breaker

So, the SD card just suck. Maybe it have 5 or 10 years warranty, but why bother if all of my data is erased? And second, what the hell are you talking about? SD card can't even reach half the speed of emmc? So where in the world is SD card and emmc is comparable?

                  Hey, in today's review, Samsung s9, gets a battery endurance of 78 hours. I think 73 hours for the A2 is fair for the 1/3 of the price.
                  The type c gets an adaptor for headphones and there is a 128 gb version available for those who need storage.
                  So are there any actual cons?
                  You get a thin, light, strong in hardware, fantastic camera phone for 240 €.
                  I would not complain.

That is why they die within 2 years. And FYI, SD cards are RELIABLE if you buy them at a decent price. SD cards AREN'T slow nowadays, especially if you buy the TOP-TIER ones. They can be just as fast as EMMC.

Seriously, how much game is actually good on mobile phone. Even PUBG only like 2gb max and that's it. My 64gb phone still have 19gb and photo and videos 100% offline. I have apple music with downloaded music and bunch off app. SD card is slow and unreliable anyway. 2 SanDisk SD card suddenly died on me and lose all of my photo in 2 years. Stupid of me didnt backup it using "stalker" Google photos. Never again will I use SD card

                                  I recently owned in the past different xiaomi phones. From note 3 mtk, mi max, Mi5s plus, mi max 2 until recently the note 5 ai. I ordered and expecting to receive the A2.
                                  I want to stand in a couple of things in your review
                                  1. Personally one reason I went from the note 5 to the A2 was the lack of type C. Phones with CQ3 support charge with +2400 mah. That means that though the phone has a small battery, charging fully in 70-80 minutes would not be an issue with a fast charger that costs 6-7€.
                                  2. Weight. Note 5 reaches 200 gr of weight with case and glass protection. I still miss my iocean m6752, from the past that weighted 150 gr. 170 gr for the A2 seems fair to me and ballances the size of the battery.
                                  3. Expendable storage. If I want more storage I will buy the 128 gb version. I would have pay some extra money any how to buy a 64 gb tft card if memory was expandable.
                                  4. Screen brightness is an issue in some cases.
                                  5. Thickness weight and build quality are very important for me. A 2018 mobile should look premium.

                                    So much of hate for this phone just like Redmi Note 4 but redmi Note 4 becomes one of the best selling mobile.. and people gonna buy Mi A2 because of excellent camera

This company can also notify the authorities to arrest you if Google deems your photos and videos as "illegal" for UNKNOWN reasons. This is clearly a 1984 Orwellian strategy by Google to encourage users to their cloud service so that everyone can be MONITORED & ARRESTED by authorities if necessary. You can do NOTHING about it. FYI, MAJORITY of android users DO care about those things you mentioned since apps are getting BIGGER everyday, the CONVENIENCE of listening by the use of plug-and-play.
