Xiaomi Mi A2 Lite review

15 August 2018
Xiaomi wanted to expand its reach beyond its few official markets and it had to do just one thing - give up on MIUI. It all started with the Mi A1 - Xiaomi's first Android One smartphone, and now not one but two sequels are coming to replace it - Mi A2 and Mi A2 Lite. Our Mi A2 review is done, so today we will be taking the Mi A2 Lite for a spin.

Anonymous, 15 Aug 2018Is the display usable with polarised glasses? I heard in a ... moreOn the Italian MIUI forum, a semi-official review of Mi A2 Lite said that the screen is correctly polarized, so you won't have any problem watching the screen with polarized sunglasses.
But maybe it depends on the screen manufacturer: the same phone model could ships with different LCD panels, as seen on other phone models too (e.g. Redmi Note 4).

Great phone but I wont think P20 Lite and F7 are worthy alternates these two cost almost double the price

Always wondered why THE "lite" version has more features than the normal version

"Xiaomi's Redmi Note 5 Pro is also worth considering - a device with a traditional 5.5" screen, runs on MIUI"
Huh? The Note 5 AI / Pro has a 6" 18:9 screen, same as the more premium A2 (and actually brighter with better contrast and sunlight legibility than A2). And yeah, honestly, that Note still seems the better value and all-rounder so far.

            No Video?

"The only thing that the Lite has and the A2 doesn't - is an impressive battery life."

              And a microSD slot.
              And a 3.5mm headphone jack.
              And a better screen:body ratio.
              And better sunlight legibility.

Is the display usable with polarised glasses? I heard in a video that you just get black screen. I have that problem with my pc monitor. Is that true?

adding options to hide the notch is much appreciated.
