Sony Xperia XZ3 review

Few phones can claim they caused quite as big of a stir as the Xperia XZ3. After Sony dropped its first curved OLED Xperia, seemingly out of the blue at IFA 2018, reactions have ranged from overwhelming excitement, through confusion and all the way to denial and anger. That's a level of drama typically reserved for soap operas or celebrity gossip and it all spells out one thing - a massive wave of exposure for Sony.

          Honestly, the one to wait for is the OnePlus 6T. True, it will lack headphone jack but it's starting to become acceptable to more people as time goes on. The XZ3 doesn't have it either.

          Oxygen OS is much closer to stock Android than Sonyvs skin. Throw in the fact the OnePlus 6 owners have tried Pie beta on their phones and it's already rock solid for them.

          You want the most fluid software experience on Android. Either Pixel or OnePlus. A sequel to Essential Phone would be great but it looks to be "once in a lifetime" like the Nokia N9 was.

              I love Xperia xz3. Best phone

                Best colors and amount of color detail captured by camera. Auto pre-shoot also great. Shame they lag behind in using right auto mode, even more of they advertise that hdr. Noise is also funny with that processing power(probably no stacking), my old phone can do better without stacking, and if its detail, just capturing stack of raws will yield better output. It comes with hw shutter, but feels unfinished, same as awesome screen without colors set right, do they wait for gsma to set it for them?...

                  No soap opera going on with Sony XZ3 flagship...

                  Sony is legit and thus just beginning of there cell tech.

                        I think the auto brightness is not available bcz the pie's adaptive brightness might be working under the hood.

                          Very interesting that the XZ3's portrait mode even works with non-human objects, although it doesn't have a dual pixel sensor.

                                Before anyone comment l ask you to take a look at the photo comparison yourself with the xz3 note 9 and the p20 pro. In low light.
                                Look at the letters on those five dollars and pounds.
                                Anyone would say that the xz3 is better.

                                  I don't really follow Huawei or Xiaomi, Oppo or other devices that aren't popular in my area so I can't say for sure, but I thought the Mate series was the cheaper version.

                                    Get it right GSMArena and start fighting for the consumer. The 3.5 mm headset jack is NOT "legacy" - it is still very relevant and lack of such needs to be placed as a con on EVERY phone without it.

                                    I am a massive Sony/Sony Ericsson fan and would not even consider the XZ2/XZ3 because of this - better off with the XA2.

                                        It is ridiculous to swipe up, down, left, right and press long to do stuff instead of just clicking on virtual buttons..

                                        Almost as stupid as the windows 8 desktop ( the worst version ever).
