LG V40 ThinQ hands-on review

03 October 2018
Someone was inevitably going to do it, and it makes all the sense in the world for it to be LG - the V40 ThinQ is the first phone with both an ultra wide-angle and a telephoto cam on its back. Of course, there's a 'regular' one in between them, for a total of three actual distinct self-sufficient modules unlike… previous triple-cam setups.

A very nice phone but battery could have been better. They should learn from Huawei as their flagships have better battery life.

That 3300mAh battery for a smartphone targeted to photography enthusiasts is so underpowered. The phone's battery will be long dead before photo shooting can start at the end of a working day.

so your point is wrong and wont make any sense!
oh notch is worth than what most people think!
how one review can justify that camera app is slow? there could be thousand of thousand of factor which lead to camera app to behave like that!
i agree with price and storage and battery life might not bee as they should be!

That thinq is so pathetic, could Lg just name it V40?
The thinq name such a bring bad luck for Lg lol

My V20 was the first phone with Android 7 Nougat. Now it still hasn't been updated to Android 8 Oreo and the latest security patch is from a year ago.

He had a budget and few choices in mind, but definitely no decision in advance. In the store he was offered several phones. The ones with notch were immediately rejected by him and he said it was ugly and anti-UX. He is not reading websites like gsm arena or phone arena, neither is he watching phones videos on youtube. So here is one example for you for a person who rejected phones just because of the notch.

$900 is too steep, though not super surprising considering the pricing of their previous flagships. The v30 dropped 1 year ago for $800 and can now be found in excellent condition used for $300.

Oooh man, 3 cameras and only 2x Zoom...
                                  weak battery another weak point....pity

Notch is not as bad as you people think. You're just influenced by some youtuber and reviewer's subjective opinion, just because they dislike notch.

It's Q4 2018 stop complaining about notch already!!!

V40 is a nice looking phone with small chin. The only things that let me down are the camera is slow to load and freezes occasionally (see mr.mobile review on yt).

And 64gb internal for 2018 and 900$ phone just doens't make sense.

The battery life might be decent, but not class leading for heavy user.

How many times it will be update software and fix bugs? One? Two? How long time lg will provide support? Year? Two? No, if you think - no any ThinQs.
