The ZenFone Max Pro M1 was a sleeper hit for ASUS. The ZenFone Max Pro M2 aims to build on that success. The new phone brings with it a more modern design, faster processor and improved cameras while maintaining things like the stock Android UI and massive battery that made the original so popular.

      Wow GSMArena reviews are just filled with complaints. They didn't even bothered to properly review it. Complaining about screen dimming ? Most of the phones do that. No mention of GG6 in display section ? Complaining about notch hide feature ? Oreo doesn't even support notch even Nokia 6.1 plus update removed the notch hiding feature ? Really a biased review. I'm using this phone from last 2 days. No complaints till now. Most of the things are working perfectly. I don't know how they got so low Antutu score, mine is around 130k. No mention of Sony sensor under camera ? No proper photos and in the verdict they are saying that buy Redmi Note 6 Pro for better camera and feature ? Yeah sure enjoy ads and lot of bloatware. Gcam is there if you want to check the real performance of the lens.
      They f'ed up the review of Zenfone 5z and they are doing same with Zenfone Max Pro M2. They probably liked the Realme 2 Pro color os.

        I prefer a complete review, even we must wait a little longer..
        This type of review is so lacked many things..
        Why GSMArena, please don't do this again..

              so the phone is a bummer

                The main CPU cores of SD660 on this device are under-clocked to 1.95 GHz, but not sure how that aspect went un-noticed by GSMArena... strange.

                  Mi Max 3 having bigger battery than this Zenfone Max Pro M2, right?

                      Funny thing about display dimming is that I have never heard GSMarena complain about this for Huawei phones, although all their phones do it..

                              -3.5mm jack as STANDARD
                              -DEDICATED microsd slot as STANDARD
                              -Dual SIM
                              -Corning Gorilla Glass 6 protection
                              -Less intrusive NOTCH
                              -NFC support
                              -FM Radio
                              -1080p display
                              -Affordable
                              -Fingerprint scanner

                              Cons:
                              -Clumsy software implementation (No hide notch option, but can be solved by installing a hiding notch app from the Play Store.)
                              -Aggressive display dimming
                              -microUSB connector
                              -No fast charging
                              -This NOTCH design should have never been here. How about a water-drop style NOTCH design instead??
                              -This sounds like the transition from Redmi Note 5 to Redmi Note 6 Pro by adding a NOTCH.
