When playing games, there are some lags here and there when playing PUBG with HDR and High Frame Rate options but those lags arent big enough to distrupt your gaming session (Might as well be my internet but guess not). No lags when playing Asphalt 9 at normal settings but when you set it to high graphics it lags to the extent of distrupting your game. It performs well for a midranger. One should not expect the highest quality gaming from a midranger. It does a good job tho.

Panda eyes, 20 Apr 2019Is battery life really that bad? Are you a have user? I own one and can confirm this. The 4000 mah battery seems fake number because it drains so fast also kinda hot when playing games around 30 minutes. Fingerprint is bad and a little less bad after update, but still bad. The final problem is Nightmode / lowlight sucks.
Can't use gcam too. Shame.
Overall it's a good phone, just a tad bit too expensive b/c apprently it's Samsung trademark.

Bought it 2weeks ago. Excellent phone at this price range. CPU, GPU, Camera, display all met my expectation. Fingerprint sensor was laggy. But recent update makes it faster. Now only concern is something like night mode/night shoot. Unfortunately 6gb ram version is not available in my country, so i have to buy a 4gb version.

In the Cons:
You need a third-party app for 4K video capturing.
Samsung PLEASE keep the Cam2API Fully Open (full access) on the new A Series Smartphones so that Atleast other apps can help us shoot RAW, 4k and HDR.

Samsung has not enabled 4K in A50, but it can be used via third party app as you mentioned in the review.
My question is, the Exynos chip in Samsung A50 is capable of 4K at 60fps as mentioned on Samsung website detailing the chip specifications, whether it can record the videos in 4K at 60 fps, please try it via third party apps for 60fps also and update your review.

So if you really want camera performance in Samsung, it's the S and Note series then

I had the A8 until I broke it and the camera on that was good but bested by other mid rangers such as the Nokia 7.1

IMO Gsmarena should also test battery life with dark mode on OLED phones or atleast do an article on it so we can know how much impact it has

The battery(A50) is also nice it gives me 7-8 hrs of sot. The performance is also great but if you do not play games I doubt you'll notice the difference. In the Camera department that's where i believe you'll see no change, either phone may win depending on the situation. All in all the changes are there but not really significant

Comparing the camera performance in daylight the A5 2017 mostly has more details but in nightime the A50 captures more

I had bought it just 1 month ago. A good Experience, must buy it. But Samsung, please improve its battery performance because it's not upto the mark. It's Battery work like a 2500 MaH. Not like 4000 MaH. & Please Improve Fingerprint Speed, It's really very slow. Just 2 cons which seems to be improve after next update. Please resolve it. A Good Samsung Smartphone.
