Foldable phones are cool tech the only downside is the price of phones but a few years from now these phones will start to get cheap then we will be able afford them. Can't wait to own one when prices drop in the future.

If this was less than $1200 dollars, it would probably be a hit!

samsung is now stagnant with its S series & they have nothing to do rather launching such useless & impractical phones. Better they should focus on their OS TIZEN & make it available for mass use in their future phones.

This design will not see the light of day. A total failure for Samsung. Even if they do try to seal it up and resell it it will be even worse. How long did it take for Sammy to bring the note Fe back to market. By then the Mate x will be out and set the bar for foldables.

is the line down the middle as thick as it is when it gets folded?

That hinge looks so... stupid and ugly. As a concept maybe is right but as final product doesn't look good enough and fails, a total disaster. I like Samsung products but not this one.
"Galaxy Flop"....

it's like the tesla of phones, expensive, futuristic, high specifications and high tech, yet has significant reliability issues, maybe a few generations time, ie, circa 2022, we will get truely game changer, but i can't see anyone brave enough to spend US$2200 on a fragile and risky product which probably only have 2.5 years lifespan anyway,

"Never seen before form factor". So dramatic.
The form factor itself HAS been seen before, quite frankly the communicator lines that Nokia released over a decade ago. It's essentially what the "Fold" is, just with better technology that makes the device more useful.
In essence it's a good concept, and I hope that in a few years this standard will have evolved to be as reliable as current smartphones.

Not suprised if it easily scratches since it only has a PLASTIC/LAMINATED SCREEN and middle part will obviously break from constant folding.
