Not to mention the ratio of the main display. I mean, is there still new contents made in that specific ratio?
With the rise of online movie streaming platforms, the new ratio will be beneficial for viewing more content, especially films which were mostly shot originally in 21:9 ratio.
Now of course 21:9 display for smartphones will simply get a lot of hate since it's not a very popular name that came with it, but as soon as the big dogs start to follow suit, it'll definitely be a big thing (both literally and figuratively).

GSMArena is right when they said that it feels more like a concept device than a consumer product. Nobody is in the right state of mind to buy this phone. You cannot even game on this phone nor do business. You can buy a tablet and a phone and save much money. Also, its not even that durable for a phone to be used on a daily usage. I think Samsung is planning to beat Apple in making the most useless & overpriced phones in the market. I hope samsung will not launch this device. They better focus their production cost to innovation of their flagship line-up because until now, the S-series still doesnt have a good night mode (unlike Huawei and Google).
With that said, I think that Samsung might be better off if they launch a Gaming phone instead of this.

21:9 aspect ratio? And on a smaller screen? The moment I read this I expected some serious bashing of the aspect ratio. Remember what was said of the fantastic phone Xperia 1? But Alas, there was none! Indeed, someone on this forum predicted that the (ill informed) bashing of the 21:9 aspect ratio would end once Samsung adopted it. Now I believe :)

Only for travelers if have enough battery autonomy. OK is phone transformed to tablet but if used with GPS Google Maps and mobile data open what happen with battery?
The 5' displays with 1280x720 pixel , and 85% display to body ratio is enough for all internet and social uses. The smart phones dosn't TVs or Play Stations.

Man it's even worse than expected. It got an awful design, a ridiculous front display that basically forces you to only use it unfolded and several questionable design choices. No clue who in their right mind would pay that much for this monstrosity.

You're kind of missing what's really important but who cares? As long as you can play lamenight or Pretty Ugly Baby Guy and it looks like a fancy device, who cares about practicality, functionality...

HAHAHAHAHA as if they will.
Look at Apple and heck, any other OEM who made phones without headphone jacks, do they sell a seperate HQ dongle and make its DAC a selling point?
Would they waste R&D to make a high-quality adaptor if they could just outright sell a half-decent dongle with an existing DAC chip for easier profit?
