My heart leaps for joy for a phone as good as this. All I'm waiting for is the proper review. Finally, a phone company that listens to customers! #asus_well_done

This is one hell of a great device, I wonder if Asus would start focusing on timely Android updates - if so, it could turn them around and make it far more popular in the near future.

Anonymous, 17 May 2019back to oppo n1 - nice idea, sadly moving parts is still no... morethe front camera being essentially hidden unless I call for it and it not being another piece of BOM is actually a plus to me.

Thanks for this review and thanks Asus for this phone. Everything is great, except maybe the IPS screen and cheap FP sensor, but this phone is absolutely what I want. Great performance, big battery, no notch, stock software... I'm really looking forward to the full review!

zodiacfml, 17 May 2019I like this better than the OP7 Pro but ASUS missed an oppo... moreAsus missed an opportunity on 90/120Hz? This thing is ~170 bucks cheaper, just saying. Plus technically they were the first to release a high-refresh rate OLED, albeit a 1080p one (ROG phone). It's got a jack plus microSD slot so I think it's just the right price with the LCD being the main trade-off to get to 500 bucks

back to oppo n1 - nice idea, sadly moving parts is still not better than using the chin (still on EVERY phone) for the front cam.

Great phone and finally Asus is moving towards sotck android, kudos for that!
The only compromise it´s the IPS display, when many are offering OLED.
Still i´d go 1000x for this rather thatn the Xiaomi MI9

Super! It remains to make the camera not only turning, but also to move out, then it will be possible to hide it inside the smartphone and then the lens will not get dirty (scratched, stained, etc.). This is the kind of smartphone I'm waiting for.

Ronjot, 17 May 2019Great Pack with a good price from ASUS as always The onl... moreSamsung and one plus is not better on that regard. First months lots of patches for correcting things that should be ready for users to enjoy since day 1. Asus went to an android program this time, lets hope updates comes in steady regular bases. I wish best the luck for Asus they are doing lots of thing right and not pushing the prices up like the rest. To bad is to big for me. No more LARGE phones here.

Floroy, 17 May 2019No IP67/68 rating?Judging from that flipping camera module. There's no way this will get an IP rating.

Very excited for this. Knew Asus would put out a crowd-pleaser with some talking points.
I had a Zenfone 5 which for me beat the so-called flagships in 2018. Perfect size, lightning fast and *very light*. This looks like they continued with their form.
One question - with the change from of ZenUI does it still have the face detection feature in the photo gallery?! It was hilarious!

Great Pack with a good price from ASUS as always
The only annoying thing about ASUS is always launching phone with crappy software.
they can even make stock android become buggy software. Good Job ASUS.
It need 2-3 months patching and upgrade on its sotfware after its first batch selling to have more stable software.
i just hope this phone doesn't have that kind of disease.
