Truth Sayer, 16 May 2019Based on my experiece with Smartisan R1
DCI-P3 100% + HDR1... moreThumbs up for the Smartisan bro :) (M1 user here, we're a bit abandoned tho)
And IPS rulez. Live and thrive (AM)OLED but IPS is here to stay. As well as IGZO.

Anonymous, 16 May 2019IPS display ruined an otherwise perfect phoneOLED display would ruined an otherwise perfect price. People be complaining why put OLED but no under display fingerprint scanner. -_- And that how the price keep on hiking up like OnePlus.

Martin, 16 May 2019Why no review? Gsmarena? because it was just announced at an event? because it's not publicly available yet and a review takes time and lab testing?

very interesting phone, on paper. having experienced OLED screens, it would be hard for me to go back to IPS, but everything else sounds great (or at least par for the course) at a competitive price point.
however, no idea how Asus' Android customization layer fares and that flip camera might complicate custom ROM development, i assume

Finally a great phone with no inferior fingerprint readers and lousy amoled displays.

Nexus = OnePlus = Asus/Lenovo/etc. Budget flagships (or flagship killers) will continue to dominate the market due to their immense value proposition. The only unfortunate part is they all move onto flagship pricing territory after a few successful releases, but a new contender quickly takes it's place.
Case in point, don't become a fanboy. Switch brands whenever your favorite brand loses it's edge.

Should we expect there will never be a full review GSMA, like with the Zenfone 4 (Pro)?
