A lot better than the OP7Pro gimmick. For a cheaper price point without sacrificing the 3.5mm jack, sd slot or battery capacity.

Asus just their smartphones to another level!!! Now I wondering what they gonna do to successor of Max Pro M2...maybe a stereo speaker with type C but it's too early to say anything about it.Btw good job Asus!!!

Why Asus put 13MP with narrow aperture f/2.4 second camera?
It omits the advantage of rotating camera because the quality of wide angle selfie would be BAD, especially on low lights situation.
Even last year's Zenfone5 second camera has f/2.0 aperture!!!

I'm surprised, this is actually something to keep an eye on, it may be the phone that'll beat the OnePlus 7, great device with a good price tag. Good job Asus.

travis999, 16 May 2019Thank you Asus, no horrible amoled screen, they all look wr... moreThe main cause for headache in LED-based screens is Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) because all LEDs I know of can't be dimmed all the way down, so they have to be switched on and off at high frequencies to make us feel they're dimmer. LCDs are backlit, so the ones using LED backlight may also cause headache.
Still a great phone none the less, all competitors will have a good run for their money.

A great Mobile so far in 2k19. . . unbelievable as that Panaroma idea of auto slide is a top notch for me. . . called a real innovation. . . but obviously ppl wil fal for the name oneplus 7 without going in depth. But not us . . .ASUS once again proved and here is a true Flagship killer

Now the old ZenUI died, it has the same name but now is a STOCK Android with few features on it. So now is smoth and fast. That is a good new. The phone has really good specifications and worth considere it depending of your preference. A really good phone for its price.
My concerns is that i can't see how unlock the phone fast while its on the table without grab it. Old methods are slow and require several actions. The face unlock is not an option due to be slow rotating and they only have tested it around 50000 rotations... so use that feature sure make the motor/mechanism last a lot less in time. Another thing is that cases are going to be ugly for my taste with that big hole at the back and protect less de phone in that area. Only those two thing makes me not convinced at all. I'll probably wait to the K20 and K20 Pro or how are called to compare too.
Aside that, sure that is the perfect phone for a lot of people that don't matter those things. Nice phone. And for me a lot better than what OnePlus 7/7Pro offer now for their price.

Among all phones that use 48MP 1/2" (Exmor or Isocell) , this one takes the worst photos by far.

Thank you Asus, no horrible amoled screen, they all look wrong to me, where as good lcd look better, don't give me headaches etc.
Only complaint is no proper front facing matched speakers and no thermometer.
For €499 it's going to be hard to better, (I'm guessing that price is for the 6gb/128 version)
If I happen to find a €500 note on the pavement etc, guess where it's going ?
