the brightness slider is actually awesome because you can't accidentally touch it and make it ultra bright instantly and kill your eyes

I think at 2x zoom it takes a normal photo and a telephoto one, and combines them like the P30 pro does at 10x zoom. If you hold your finger over the cameras and take a photo you can see that

Others keep touting, oh, but the bezels are small or it's the same size as a phone that used to be big back in whogivesaf#ck? Newsflash, Einstein, if it was big before that doesn't make it any less big now. The trend continues to be big regardless of your BS arguments, but our hand sizes have not changed in millions of years!

Using this from about 1 month. Waiting for pixel3a from about 3 weeks - thanks amazon.de :/
In fact screen+camera+overall performance makes this deivce really good, altho I consider miui limits+crappy notifications+enforcing to use Xiaomi cloud as a minus.

Good phone spec and price but garbage OS. MIUI is just awful and looks ugly.

safraz, 04 Jul 2019what is the best in overall between pocophone f1 & mi 9 se..I think you should go with the Mi 9 SE. Similar price, Mi 9 SE has OLED screen vs LCD, triple cameras much better than Poco, and the chipset is very recent so you won't lag anyway. Besides, the 845 is past year, so there's that.
Also the Mi 9 SE is much prettier (imo)
                      Hope that helps!

The infamous thumb and troursers argument. Guess what? Xperia 1 with it's 167mm height fits nicely in any jeans pocket. Unless you're wearing those girly skinny jeans. Then even the palm phone will stick out.

Sad times we live in - So many phones on the market but only few can be operated with one hand and can fit info a pocket of your trousers.

Anonymous, 04 Jul 2019In what fantasy world is 6" considered compact? Don't kid y... moreIt is weird how there is a big discussion over what a compact phone is. This phone is 70.5MM wide. The S8 is 68.1MM wide. The 5S is 58.6MM wide. To me anything over 65MM wide is a big phone especially when you often need a case around it of 2-5MM wide.

Anonymous, 05 Jul 2019Thickness doesn't affect how you use a phone anywhere near ... moreYou do have to put your palm around it. The thickness matters. Most people who desire tiny phones want to hold the from side to side with one hand, hence the thickness counts twice.

So in short, for most who desire compact devices, thickness also comes into play in the total sum of area to grip around.

If holding the fingers on the back, apart from thumb on the front and possibly pinky supporting the bottom, then the thickness only counts once, but it still affect how long your thumb can travel across the screen.

I don't have particularly big hands, yet holding from side to side (palm on one side and fingers on the other, with my thumb free for navigating the screen) around the back of my Mi Mix 3 with protective back cover is fully possible.

Anonymous, 05 Jul 2019Exactly, 5.2" was not compact, so neither is 6". It doesn't... more"WAS" not compact, and that's 4 years ago. 4 years alone is enough for Apple to increase their iPhone's screen size from 3.5 to 4.7 inch and still considered compact.

Again, screen size is irrelevant regarding compactness or not. It's about whether the overall device fits in (your) hand or not.
