So, there is no performance gain compared to mi9 or any other SD855 device.
Same happen last year to Asus ROG.
In this case they should have done Mi9 with front stereo speakers.

Marco M, 10 Jul 2019Loading a g ame from an SD card is like loading a game from... moreDepends on the micro SD. In fact, recent models with A2 app performance spec have been shown to provide a more stable performance when the game files are moved there. Plenty of proof on YT if you don't believe me.
Though it's not like that there are still many new phones out there that supports moving apps to SD card.

Marco M, 10 Jul 2019Loading a g ame from an SD card is like loading a game from... moreBut don't forget there's some of us that want to play games on the go. And this might mean using emulators. I get it, on the 256GB you can fit practically all the games you're interested in playing from the DosBox, DSi, N64, GBA, SNES, NES, Sega, Atari, and Arcades.
However, the ROMs for the PS1, PSP, Dreamcast, GameCube, and Wii take a lot of storage space. So if you had several microSD's stashed in your wallet, or inside the Phone's Case, this would solve most issues.
In fact, things might get worse in the coming years as Android Apps get further bloated, and we get access to proper emulation of PS2, PS Vita, WiiU, and Switch (the Xbox and PS3 ain't coming for a decade lol).
PS: I think there's a Gcam Mod in the works for the Nubia RedMagic 3, so expect camera performance closer towards the Google Pixel 3 XL.

256GB of storage fits quite a lot of games.

Please re-test the Black Shark 2 on AnTuTu after dialing *#*#666#*#* and enabling the GPU boost option, I own the phone and ran the test afterwards and got a score of 414424 and the GPU alone got 196345. I would not consider GSMArena doing due diligence without THAT test as it shows what the phones max performance ACTUALLY is.

Kangal, 10 Jul 2019I just want to add something for the GSMArena team, the Bla... moreKeep in mind the importance of camera software in addition to sensor. Picture quality is not decided by the sensor alone.
From a review of the Nubia Red Magic 3 posted on XDA four days ago:
"There is only one way to describe the Nubia Red Magic 3 camera performance: bad
The phone uses the same Sony IMX 586 sensor as many other flagships with great cameras like the Honor 20 Pro, Xiaomi Mi 9, and OnePlus 7 Pro. The difference between the Red Magic 3 and the others comes down to camera software. The tuning on the Red Magic 3 camera results in pictures with terrible HDR and no detail when zooming or cropping.
...
I wouldn't even consider it an adequate camera for a 2019 smartphone. Nubia really needs to work on their camera tuning in a future update."
Also, please note that the Black Shark has a dual cam setup with a tele lens, making it more versatile.

Asphalt 9 Legend is running at 30FPS, unless you root the phone to change some of the game files, which would potentially get you ban from the game

I just want to add something for the GSMArena team, the BlackShark 2's main camera sensor is a cheaper, lower quality one compared to the (Sony Exmor IMX586) one you find in the Redmi K20 Pro, Nubia RedMagic 3 and ASUS ZenFone 6/6z.
So while on-paper/marketing, the Nubia RedMagic 3 looks like it has the worse camera experience... I think in practice/real-world you will find the opposite is probably true. At least, that's what most reviewers have been noticing. But it might be good to test/amend that later.

Huge con; 60 Hz panel. That just doesn't cut it. Same as console gaming... 60 Hz just is not good enough.

Aren't like 99.999% of mobile games locked to 60 fps anyways? 60hz screen is all you need currently so I disagree upon the fact that not having 90 hz is a con.

"The memory expansion can be forgiven with the ample storage options available, "
STILL, it is not there as STANDARD and as an OPTION for the price it offers!! At least make the 2nd SIM slot a hybrid one FGS!!
"but the lack of the audio jack in a gaming phone is harder to swallow. An adapter goes some way towards fixing that, but if anyone would need to charge and use headphones at the same time it would be gamers."
Therefore ROG phone by Asus is more worthy despite the higher price tag as it has a 3.5mm jack as STANDARD.
"At first, we thought there wasn't a 3.5mm-to-USB-C adapter in the box, but as it turned out the tiny thingy was hidden pretty well within the USB cable."
Xiaomi wants to "force" simple users to use Bluetooth / Wireless which is way CRA**IER than wired.
"The lack of ingress protection and a 3.5mm jack are our main gripes with its design, but overall we are pretty happy with what it is."
How could they be pretty happy about the omissions for the price it offers?!
