Note7 owner, 23 Jul 2019240g and 9.5mm, PASS! but with 6000mah battery, probably bring us an awesome battery life.

Be patient, the deals will come back again. You can maybe sign-up for notifications of some websites so that when it drops/deal becomes active you can find out the same hour/day and buy it.

I've had a 35% off discount here in my country, direct through a Samsung Program, for people working in government or schools. And that deal has been running for about 3 months.

The USA version is better. It's runs faster, uses less battery, has the sharper camera, and the stronger security. However, the USA version has a locked bootloader which cannot be unlocked, so there's no way for you guys to get Root or Custom Roms. You're at the mercy of Samsung's software division's (in)competence. I think the Chinese version (SM-G9750) is supposed to be the best version out there: DualSIM, Qualcomm Snapdragon, Sony Exmor, Unlocked Bootloader, and possibly the Cheapest (grey market).

Namelesss, 22 Jul 2019This is the first gaming phone that I'd actually would love... moreWell... This would include the skeleton case and that cooling fan, which is dope, considering the first one doesn't include the phone and that skeleton case or the kunai case could be used together with the cooling fan without dismantling anything in contrast with the first rog, which requires you to take off the back part of the case, while the top and bottom part are attached to the phone with reusable glue (without it, whenever you want to attach the fan while using the case in which is sold separately, the top and bottom part would came off as well if you didn't remove the sticker protector [kind of like a double tape]). And cz of the sticker, it's annoying to take it off whenever I want to play it with the Gamevice. And the weird thing is, if you attach the fan while using the gamevice, the gamevice won't work cz somehow it prioritize the input from the side port (the gamevice for first rog uses bottom port). Glad they fixed it in this new version of it and take the console to their own matter. Which, if I could break down, You'll have two port from the aero cooler, and additional audio and usb from the kunai but I think it'll

Kangal, 22 Jul 2019By the way, I think they may have removed the FM Radio func... moreNone of the phones you've listed are viable options if your focus is gaming, and that's the focus for ROG.

Try playing PUBG with those phones against someone with a ROG. I have. What you'll experience is that you'll miss half your shots as they are able to run-jump-duck moving sideways while hitting you with almost every bullet they shoot.

Then there is the battery life, and a fan that will keep the phone cool so there is no throttling. Those other phones throttle after 5-10 minutes of heavy gaming play.

If you want a phone for the best possible gaming experience get a gaming phone. (FYI - GSMARENA said as much in a review a few days ago.)

no dust and splash protection (IP53)??

This is what a sony flagship should be. I would love to get my hands on this and under volt it. Surely a promising battery beast.

Why is the 3.5mm jack listed under 'misc' & not 'audio' when its primary function is audio...

This is the first gaming phone that I'd actually would love to own. But I must admit I find the price difference between it and the Zenfone 6 too huge, that's weird. Hopefully the phone comes with the accessories, that'll make the big price difference between it and the Zenfone 6 more understandable

IMO that would be the lowest it gets this year until perhaps black friday, since I can not really find it anywhere for 800 (Unlocked, without any of verizon or tmobile activation, since I don't like overpaying )

Wow, now this is what I call a beast, that battery capacity is just awesome 6000mah!! I also like their decision to stick with a full HD screen instead of gimmicks like 4K nonsense with a tiny 3300mah battery lol.
And yes, the HEADPHONE JACK is there.

Anonymous, 22 Jul 2019Where do you get s10+ for 600? Please tell me. I want thatLast week it was on-sale for $700. If you give it enough time, say October-December, which is roughly when the ASUS RoG II gets released, you will be able to buy it for $600 (or lower/earlier). It happens every year!!

Personally, I would rather take the QSD 855 SoC instead of the new QSD 855+ but have the phone be released at full-price ($999) in February 2019 instead of the expected November launch. Then, the RoG II looks more compelling/value when pitted against the Samsung S10+.

I think the phone getting released this late, for that much, it's hard to justify. One way it could be justified is if ASUS included the Dual JoyPad and the ProDock with each phone. Otherwise its going to get killed out there by the Note10, Pixel 4XL, and iPhone 11 releases, and then become "obsolete" after only a few months with the release of the Samsung S11 lineup and LG G9/V60.

6000 mAh battery? They went all in.

This a strange world. On one hand, we have a fantastic phone with a FullHD display that makes a tangible difference with its 120Hz refresh rate and has fantastic endurance with its 6000mAH battery.

On the other, we have a phone with ~4K display on something as tiny as a smartphone screen, paired with 3300 mAH battery.

Oh, and the former has Bluetooth AND a headphone jack.
