It's so wierd to see so many bad decisions and even a lot of good ones in one device.
This certainly looks like a proper love it or hate it device.

By the way, I think they may have removed the FM Radio function. Plus they have omitted the IrDa Blaster as well. I like the new Kunai II JoyCons, however, my only gripes with them seems to be using a large case on the phone, and potentially not being able to store both JoyCons together inside one jeans pocket.... making this less mobile than it could have been.
As for Stock Android and Updates, I think its best to expect the worse, judging by ASUS's track-record. On top of this, I think they're going to lock the bootloader with no way to root the phone or install Custom Roms/Mods. If this is the case, there's no way to know until probably December, so it's probably wise to wait and see.
I think stock availability is going to be very low, just like last year. Remember, it's only just been revealed, and will probably hit the market/launch this November. And they will be charging at least USD $999 for this device, making it difficult to recommend when Flagship/Luxury phones like the Samsung S10+ will be close to USD $600, the LG G8 around $500, and the ZTE Axon10 Pro for likely around $400.
So it makes you wonder, is x1 ASUS RoG II worth the same as owning:
- x1 Axon10 Pro and x1 Samsung S10+ ??
- x2 LG G8 ??
- x3 Lenovo Z6 Pro ??
- Or maybe even x6 of Lenovo Z6 Lite ??

DumbIndian, 22 Jul 2019better than oneplus 7 pro that's for sure!This phone probably would be faster than op7P, but still have to see how their screen performs. 120Hz refresh rate is awesome, but it's a FHD display. Good for gaming purpose of coz. So it all depends on if you are a gamer or a casual phone user to feel the betterness.
The specs are really impressive tho. That's without a doubt.

Almost perfect !!
But I would trade the:
- Air Cooling, for an IP68 waterproofing, better to survive outdoors
- 512GB storage, to add a microSD slot, best for media storage
- weird 20:9 aspect ratio, for a 16:9 ratio which makes it more compact
- 1,000mAh battery capacity, to shave off 1mm thickness and 70g weight
...otherwise, they could've made it with Removable Battery so that we can hot-swap batteries when we're on the go for fast/instant charging the battery. Also makes it possible to keep the phone going for years and years.

When doing the review I would appreciate if battery life tests are done with 60hz and 120hz as well.
Besides that, I'm excited to see that it has the same camera hardware than Zenfone 6 (which camera improved a lot with updates) but this time they also added OIS

The specs of this phone & features are crazy gooooooddd...i suspects all of the extra vaganza added is an excuse to put its pricing at $1100 mark.

I dont believe the snap-on aero active cooler fan can reduce the temps up to 4-5 degree, maybe only 1-3 lol.. they should use tec cooling for aero active cooler that powered by high-power usb-charger
