This could have easily be a Motorola. Yep the NFC is an omission but apart from that....It´s pretty great..

The phone is good "as is". But if you want to undo some of the negatives (mostly software), you can google some of the russian phone forums.
The Lenovo Z6 Pro, can now use the stock/superior China ROM, use an unofficial TWRP Recovery, get root access, hide root status, and use Magisk. They've also been able to flash different radio access (LTE Bands), debloated it, and translated it, and installed Gapps. There's a Gcam in the works to improve the "HDR/AI-Photography" and EIS woes.
Maybe all these things will eventually come together in a Kang-Rom, but the moderators haven't accepted opening a forum for it on XDA yet.

OMG that frequency response! They left out the Dolby audio. This software is a mess. Moto G6 Plus does not have these problems.

Too bad about the crappy software. A big deal. Also as far as I can see, the Mi 9T (and Pro) camera is as good as this. And the software is better and no cut out. And you save at least a 100 Euro (or 130 Euro for non pro version)..

Promising phone, ruined for me by the lack of NFC. For 500 euros not having it is kind of ridiculous
For around 170 there are phones that have it. Honor 10 Lite, Moto G7, Huawei P Smart 2019 etc

Lenovo once a major smartphone maker, I though Huawei and Lenovo will rule the markets.
Don't know why Lenovo left the space.

This phone swept me off the ground, but i hate the fact that the power and volume buttons are on the left.

It's a shame, actually,for Lenovo.
I mean, they did almost everything right:design, display, chipset, cameras, battery life..How bad actually that ZUI OS is?Worse then Samsung's or LG's or ZTE's?And what about those audio output issues? It seems those won't be fixed with some upcoming updates..crappy hardware cannot be updated..it's a pitty..

When you keep the price of this phone in mind, the cons list seem almost like nit-picking. This phone is excellent. No two ways about it. Good to see it come outside of China.

[deleted post]You're correct. Which is one of the two primary reasons that make the Lenovo phone more attractive than the Zenfone IMO. (the other being more versatile camera setup)
The Zenfone & this phone are at least equal once you balance things out with each's advantages over the other. IMO It's unfair to give the Zenfone 4.5/5 while give this only 4/5.
