Looks good..but
Software update is overrated imo.
I'm still on android 7.0 and my phone still runs flawlessly, just need to replace the battery.
Curious though, even though you get the latest update faster than anyone else, you won't even use the new feature etc, and it won't significantly impact the performance. Why do people care about it so much?

what's new with the theme on Q? i have theme on my phone since lollipop.
and what is the purpose of having theme in option if it can only affect on a limited apps?
using multiple apps changing light to dark background makes your eye irritate.
why android make a policy to all app maker to have a theme option on there app?

Navigation drawers in apps like playstore can be accessed by swiping diagonally from the left edge of the screen. It's jarring that gsmarena missed this while some YouTube channels reported this.

Google play services is one of the reason why phones slow downs due to very high ram usage. You can take a look in your own phone.

For gesture-based navigations in Android & iOS, nothing comes close to Cydia's Activator. It gives total freedom to use simple gestures, swipe-direction-based gestures, up to 5 multi-finger gestures (what's the point of having screen capable of recognizing 10 fingers but never use it?), same gestures that will do different things in Home & in-app, and even re-map physical power/volume buttons to do other things. My 7 year-old iPod has better navigation than my 2 months-old Android. I never use iPhone X, but based on reviews it still cannot beat Activator.

Android was the most feature rich and cheaper compared to iphones. Now this has ended, I see no reason to stay with all their lags for same or higher price tag and 0 features. I hate the mess of notifications introduced in android 8. They have chosen the worst of possible gestures, they look same as ios. I think all their developers are iphone fans

The worst thing in gestures - you can't switch off useless assistant gesture interfered with home gesture. Guess Google Indian coders don't use Android at all, nor they to find other more reliable gesture for that useless assistant.

It's not a personal preference but an ergonomics.
Vertical scroll is just ergonomically better.
Though I keep using Pie, this is just a downright stupid move from google.

John, 05 Sep 2019Don’t expect android 10 on any Huawei device, mate 30 wont ... moreMate 30 series is indeed coming with Android OS (whether 9 or 10 is not confirmed yet, although it should be 10 based on their history). They just won't have any google services on them at launch.
