Pretty lame feature set for a new major version of Android.
Most of the stuff, especially the "higlights" like gestures are already available by other companies and launchers, for example Xiaomi.
It seems that Google always is a step behind in Android development. Pretty dissapointing.

Here's what I'd like to see Android do:
* Fix their memory management. Users shouldn't have to buy double RAM version of phones just because Android has poor RAM management.
* Improve their UI & add more customization options. Android was always about that.
* Drop all iOS inspirations & develop their own style & substance. Gestures are a gimmick, keep them optional instead of making them the primary method of interaction. Bring back the app stack & get rid of the iOS inspired layout.
* Reduce spyware & user data collection without permission.
* Make updates seamless & unintrusive.
* Fix/Improve whatever else is needs to be fixed/improved.

I really liked "those pesky permission request pop-ups". Now it's completely a backtracking for me on this one. I will have to go again into the permission to check if there is no permission allowed when I do not want them to be, for example, voice permission to some dial app.
Plus, "those pesky permission request pop-ups" poped only once, not a really big deal. Well, they should just have put a "do not ask me again when deny" option.

I thought desktop mode was the most exciting feature of Android 10, stock android finally have something similar to Huawei and Samsung's dex mode. Which is a very handy thing to have, isn't it?

Porely written. The significant under the hud futures not even mention. The Android 10 brings AV1 video & Opus audio codec support. Minimal Vulkan support now needed is 1.1. Those are also the most significant real improvements.

The new logo is nit a dismembered head, it's the android peeking on your life D:
Gestures are easily managed by enabling "hot zones", where only the hot zone triggers the gesture while the other parts of the screen edge act normally. I've had it this way for more than 3 years with no problems.

many people with GOOGLE (pixel) phones is having huge problems with Q official update, all sensors stopped working after the upgrade (active edge, auto rotation, auto brightness, proximity sensor, flip to shhh, dt2w ecc ecc) making the phone NOT usable. this is serious.

many are commenting that are having the same problem. mentions to this bug first appeared in google bugtracker back in July, and google never fixed this until now, when they released official Q update... on bugtracker they commented in one of the filed bug reports: "deferred looking into this problem maybe in a future release", hilarious...
this is confirmed at least on pixel 3 and pixel 3 xl. we all installed in the proper way (clean flash of the factory image, or official OTA upgrade ecc). as soon as we go back to Pie, sensors start working again, everytime we go to Q, they stop working.
I repeat, NOT EVERYONE is affected, but MANY people is.
@GSMA please give this major problem some visibility and add it to the article, people must be informed of the risks of upgrading!

Android updates used to be grand & desirable until Lollipop. After that it turned to minor updates and pointless changes. Android is at its worst stage now that it is taking inspiration from iOS.

Especially the gestures, ... moreBecause it was copied from iphone doesn't mean that it's bad. Both gestures and notch are great features stop being a fanboy and just admit it.
Ps: before calling me isheep,you should know that I did never had an iphone.

Very, very light on tweaks and features (no pun intended). Just like previous "upgrades" that were actually disguised .x updates this is another incremental update
