And how is it that a few years back, you had to pay more for a bigger phone and nowadays you have to pay more for a smaller one? Outrageous!!

Margos Dezerian, 08 Feb 2024Problem with Zenfones is no Micro SD Slot. Problem with Zenfones is their trash software support and they don't have bootloader unlocking anymore. Not to mention that Asus has been patching any and all unofficial ways of bootloader unlocking or software downgrades, which is simply unforgivable. Not worth it anymore, just get a Pixel... unless you need the headphone jack. Hoping it makes a comeback sometime in the future, or the Xperias actually get devs who want to support it. Last LineageOS ROM for anything Sony was for the 5 III.

The only real options are the iPhone SE, 12 Mini, or 13 mini, or clam-shells; the Zenfone is a stretch at 5.92 inches. Nothing for the mid-range market.

newflesh, 30 Aug 2023This didn't age well... He is quite right. Even asus zenfone 9 and 10 have the size of a standard phone - not compact one. And so do samsung s23 and iphone 13/14.
The only phone that is of a compact size is the iphone mini series. both 12 mini and 13 mini are the only choice from a standard form factor. The flip phones can easily be classified as compact as well.

This smartphone is powered by mediatek g85 has 6gb ram & 128gb storage it's reasonable choice
Definitely worth having a look at also look below in the comments if small smartphones are ideal for you as this category is difficult for finding the ideal smartphone for people needs and wants as brands really should make mini version of there smartphones but choice not too unfortunately

I agree that phones with screens over 6" are NOT 'compact phones'.. Just because every standard phone is now 6.5" or larger does not mean over 6" is compact. Pockets, purses and peoples' hands haven't gotten 25% larger.
