wtf has gone wrong with the world... Half these phones don't fit in your pocket and they still call it compact?

how is any phone over 130mm tall a compact phone? I live in a subtropical climate and always wear shorts, and don't fancy carrying a tablet with me all the time or a back pack

Hamma, 15 Jul 2021How is a 6.3" display a Compact Phone? What is this?6.3" is the largest size I consider reasonably compact actually. I can mostly use phones like the Galaxy Note 10 comfortably. I agree that 6.4+ are too big. It is definitely a matter of preference in this case though.

Why not making phones with around 5 inch displays like in 2017/18? XZ1 compact is best compact phone ever in my opinion. And i have tried also Xiaomi Mi 8 SE and stays in second place of my favorite compact phones.

zenfone 8 its hand downs the best in this list, the only deal breaker is just no expansion storage, and i think s10e and pixel 4a/5 should in this list too

WHAT? 160 mm tall is not "almost there" as you described it! iPhone Mini is 131 mm and you are recommending phones that are a whole 30 mm taller.
This is not compact by any standard. Not even "almost there".

Where are the true compact phones below 5" ? I've had sony compacts for over 10 years and want another more up to date one besides the xz1 compact. Just internal memory needs doubling everything else is perfect
Smaller would be better. I loved the sony 888. Size of a credit card

Anonymous, 10 Jun 2021S10e?I've replaced the A3 2017 with S10e and it's rubbish. The battery life is worse than the 4yo A3 and I can't consider the S10e a compact phone, comparing to what a phone should look like for people with regular size hand and pockets.
I wish the A3 had a 32GB version, I would've used it for another 4 years.

hi samsung if you are reading this....release a budget compact if not flagship....release it with SD730G, dual sim+dedicated sd card slot, use the new storage plus ram combined chip released by samsung to save space, 5.5 inch screen with uniform bezels and punchhole, powerful headphone jack that matches laptop output, powerful distortion free loudspeakers even if it sacrifices slimness, LTPO battery saver FHD AMOLED screen, durable plastic back and GG victus front, single good camera lens at BACK WITH OIS AND EIS, atleast 4000mah battery....launch it as A42/53 globally.... it will literally sell!

I don't know why all maker creates these huge handsets only.
I think a lot of people wants something around 5" - 5.5" in screen size and full screen OLED display. The reason iPhone 12 Mini does not sell better is that it is extremely overpriced and its very small battery, same physical size Xiaomis had 5000 mAh battery back in 2014.
