ron, 04 Sep 2020Wow, I think only S10e is a good buy here in terms of perfo... moreIn my opinion, S10 is better than s10e. S10e though smaller is still a big phone and the fingerprint scanner at the top is difficult to use. I would reach for the fingerprint scanner more often than the top portion of screen, so it's a big no for me.
If samsung placed the scanner at the middle, then it would be good, since we use scanner more than power button.
I sincerely hope Sony bring back the compacts, as I don't see any other option for upgrade from my S10 in next 2 years.

The list is missing com[act phone options like Rakuten Hand.
Also, please also tell us is there any compact phone that still use LCD screens since many compact phone buyers also favor LCD screen, instead of just listing OLED as pro.

I find current phone industry completely going nuts ... There is no phone under 140x65 mm form factor with normal battery. Hey ... four years ago these were capable of doing that with 2700 mA battery keeping above 70h. Now with all the progress these ... .... ..... are incapable of doing such phone?!!!??!! Sorry for Iphone mini for one million dollars. Sorry but I am NOT going to buy a phone these days. I am NOT giving money for what I do NOT WANT. Full stop. Do your JOB market analysers. As I am not the only one and you will NOT be payed anymore. How much I would like to scream this in the face of all these!!!!

This compilation confirms that there are no compact phones anymore.
Almost the whole list of Android devices is above 6 inches (that's gib), except for the Samsung s10e that is 5.8', acceptable but still big.

A pathetic device like iPhone SE 2020 occupies second place in this list, while many other models could compete here. Also where is the Pixel 4a, the phone that smashes everything in its way among its price range?

Compact phones is not just a matter of external size, but also a screen size. Point is that you can reach all parts of screen with thumb, with one hand while you are holding in it.
Anything above 5 inch does not fit in this category unless you have really huge fingers or you can perform controlled thumb sprain.
By this criteria, seems that only Apple have product in this category, which is shame for others.

I once bought an iPhone 8 thinking it would replace my classic iPhone SE, but had to return it because I couldn’t operate it with one hand.
The new SE is NOT compact... it’s exactly the same dimensions and weight as the unusable iPhone 8 I returned.
I simply DO NOT CARE about big screens or better cameras or any of the other BS that has been developed since the old SE.
I will probably have to abandon Apple when this old SE eventually breaks or dies.
It’s shocking to me that no phone maker is addressing the market for one-hand operable phones.
