now day 3.5mm jack on phone not use. they use bluetooth headset. great sound.. 3.5mm jack out dated; hahahahaha.

I just bought it about a few days ago from Softlogic in Sri Lanka. I must say that I am very impressed with the phone. The slimness of the phones is pretty cool. The quality of the pictures in nothing too specials, but seriously like the quality of the sound. I prefer the 'red' to any other colour ranges. I also like that it is very light in my pocket and is very user friendly like all Nokia phones.

the only thing that sucks here, it ocasionally restarts by itself, and when it does, youll have to wait until the phone reads the sd card... before using the music player... and.. its xpress music, the camera is a bonus for me... its emphasis is music...

i had use dis phone couple a days ago nd headset qulaity is better
then any SE Walkman fones , also it provide music option which dont c in SE ,. Nokia N95 , E90 Nokia Dora , 6233 , 5310 , SE ll answer for dia models ha , dont comapare nokia with SE , bcoz nokia is simply da best , compare SE with Motorolola , samsung , apple

This N5310 is indeed a slim beauty which features a sleek design.
I've been using this phone almost a month and I don't see my phone's backlighting luminates unevenly. But still so, I found that the speaker's volume is making aan annoyance. I could've miss more than 5 miss calls especially outdoor.

this phone very kicksz!!!!! with an external memory up to 4gb and a song more than 3000,..... what else can u say, huh? but, its camera nothing so special..... however, thanks Nokia.... uare are so great!!!!!

SE fanboys are just a bunch of jealous kids who can't accept the facts that their phones are no better than Nokia & Samsung.

I have been using this fone for the past 2 months.... its an excellent fone except for fact that every other nokia the fone hangs alot plus the sound quality on speakers is not good wat many expected

just like the two people before me said: the backlight is not uneven it is PERFECT, and I don't have any problems at all with reboot, have you guys tried using the recommended .aac?
anywho, backlight rocks, gsmarena repeat your measurements!!

well.. guess this fone was released in sep 2007.. and review cpl of days back.. looks like you ppl were waiting for a special piece from nokia, cos not even a single restarting prob is mentioned!!! lol...
it restarts :
1: whenever ear phone jack is connected
2: if u get a call while listening to music...
3: simply when u play songs[.mp3]..didnt check .aac btw.
and moreover.. sometimes the vol keys doesnt work!!! need a restart..
rather.. reboot.. cos it takes time to bring the phone to normal working condition
thats all i noticed...
and the speaker quality.. is simply... irritating.. lots of missed calls ever since i bought this.. guess why

Quite a good phote. Bought it 2 days before this review. Backlight is NOT uneven. Music experience is very good, however phone restarts from time to time (it must be software failure for my recent N6233 had the same problem). No 3G is a drowback, but I don't use it. Camera is worse than 6233, but one usually uses his/her camera for taking photos, not a cell phone. N5310 is very small and light, screet might have been a little bigger, but still it's very sharp.
All in all, I don't regret buying this one.

1. why do you complain about the memory card slot being under the battery cover?? many other phones have that but you don't say anything bad about it (e.g. SE w890: http://www.gsmarena.com/sony_ericsson_w890-review-201p2.php# )
2. the backlighting is not uneven at all, it must be your strange russian one because all 5310s I've tested have exceptional backlighting, even and clear, I actually though about that before I read your review
your reviews are important for people buying a new phone, be more careful about what you say and be less arbitrary..

what about restarting problem?? didn't u guys experience any restart while playing music??
