I hope Vivo smartphone improve their specs-to-price ratio. Anyway, good job Vivo. Hoping for the best.

I have always wondered if people actually buys Vivo and Oppo devices.

I mean, sure, you can love Chinese OEMs low prices, but having Huawei and Xiaomi out there as options, both Vivo and Oppo have nothing in favor for them.

Funtouch OS is designed so much like ios so that if you are coming form an apple device and wants to try out android, vivo will come to mind.

I'mPhone, 13 Jan 2020Sorry, but several Vivo low and mid range phones have poor ... moreIf you think this is expensive for a SD675 phone, you gotta check out the Samsung A70 which costs twice as much for the same SOC underneath.

Anonymous, 15 Jan 2020phone is too plasticky. And though the phone is advertised ... moreYou've heard of the Vivo Z1 right? It's the opposite of the S1 Pro with that diamond camera bump. It has a Sd712 chipset and costs about the same as the S1 Pro.

Redmi Note 8 Pro has a plastic frame, but the back is made out of Gorilla Glass 5. It feels more premium than the Z1 Pro.

Redmi Note 8 also has a better cooling solution than the Z1 Pro.

I'mPhone, 13 Jan 2020Sorry, but several Vivo low and mid range phones have poor ... morephone is too plasticky. And though the phone is advertised for its gaming prowess (PUBG Mobile for instance), phone throttles and heats up quickly during gaming, even PUBG Mobile itself (heard from other users)

these descriptions mention to which phone
                      Note 8 pro??

Sorry, but several Vivo low and mid range phones have poor quality control.

Tested the V17 Pro in a store and the popup front cam seems to wobble slightly. It also costs quite a lot for a Sd675 phone.

Z1 Pro has rubbish IPS LCD panel (tried the Redmi Note 8 Pro and it was better), phone is too plasticky. And though the phone is advertised for its gaming prowess (PUBG Mobile for instance), phone throttles and heats up quickly during gaming, even PUBG Mobile itself (heard from other users).

In my country there have been battery issues with the V7, one have been reported due to battery explosion. It's a 2018 model, other phones with the same pricing offer more durable batteries.

Conclusion: just get a Redmi, Realme, or Oppo phone.

                            Vivo still insists on microusb

I didn't get your reference to iOS anyway, where the control center is pulled down from the top since iPhone X ...

Mr. Electronics, 11 Jan 2020So did they forget about the Asus Zenfone 6? 5000 mAh batte... moreOr ROG 2 with sd855+ and 6000mah ;)

I never understand why people remove the pre applied screen film on the front or the plastic on the back....

You literally lose some practical scratch protection... I never remove mine on a new phone I let it get work out till it comes off on its own

NichtsGemacht, 10 Jan 2020"Macro lenses on phones have possibly been the worst trend ... more"they are pretty fun to use when they are of more quality..."

That's the problem, with their current 'quality' they're 100% useless, because as all tests have shown, you get a better picture if you take a photo with main camera and crop that one. It's just a gimmick for less tech-y customers who think more cameras = better phone. Same as depth sensor, just download GCam and you'll get better portrait shots.
