It is a reallynice phone. maybe the most disappointitng feature is the IPS display. The maon camera is nice though expected OIS. I would like it if the other cameras had better resolutions as 64+8+2+2 sounds nice only for the 64. If that is removes it is a $100 phone. I am expecting the redmi k30 pro to come with a better camera setup, an ultrawide instead of the depth sensor on the front, snapdragon 865, OIS on maon camera and an AMOLED display. The price should not cross $400.

I've been testing it along with my Huawei P30. P30 ultrawide camera does far better as a macro camera than that 2 Mp useless space bloat thing. P30 can photo subpixels on a screen. This 2 Mp thing minimal subjust distance is twice far and resolution is 8 times lower. It can't see pixels on screen.

And maximum achievable with this 2 Mp space bloat. You can't get closer. That's the minimal subjust distance. Closer it will be completely out of focus.

why do you care about amoled I dont like them and there is nothing to complain about for 210 dollars this is a flagship lcd and better than honor v30 iphone xr ... and with 120hz much much better than a 2decades old 300nits or 400 60hz amoled with 6.4 color accuracy

No notification led and no always on display makes this phone close to useless for many users. You will literally have to pick up your phone and turn the display on to see if there is any missed calls or notifications..

I think xiaomi choosing IPS lcd because IPS lcd more 'friendly' battery management than using OLED. Especially for big 6.67" display. Proved with endurance battery score more than 110 hours. Great specs for this price range. Good job xiaomi. Can't wait to buy this phone as soon as it come to my country.

Also OLED being more energy efficient is NOT a universally true statement
OLED is more energy efficient for blacks
LCD is more efficient the higher the brightness and for whites in general
And guess which display technology has better efficiency for high refresh rates? Just take a guess

OLEDs by default are more power efficient than LCDs because they can independently light up pixels on an as needed basis unlike LCDs which are either on or off. This is why OLEDs can display true black and why they consume less energy than LCDs.
How long do you reckon the K30 lasts on 120Hz mode? Newsflash: it isn't long.

Nand kumar, 30 Jan 2020It is best phone but it have not amoled display.Super amoled will get burn in or shadowish after couple month usage. I won't go with that expensive but cheap quality panel.
