Scammy Sammy shows their ugly face again. I sincerely hope their revenue will suffer bigtime for this scam. For that insane price their cameras should be at least 50-70% better than any other phone in the business.

I don't need bigger pixel. I need bigger camera sensor on a phone, let say 1/1.5" will be the minimum sensor on every flagship phones, shall we? As a consumer and camera phones enthusiast I will personally delighted. The bigger the sensor the better the results. It always be like that plus advanced computational photography as does by the Google Pixel that would be just perfect.

Btw, what makes you think Samsung would "downgrade" S20 camera quality? To me, this is perfect opportunity to save some grace after obviously subpar quality of S20 Ultra.

        Regards,

Nick Tagataka, 27 Feb 2020There's a clear difference between ads that you see on Yout... moreUS "professional" sites doesn't really have to inform if a write-up is an infomercial. Most sites anywhere on the internet barely indicate if the write-up sponsored by the brand. One key difference between YouTubers and written reviews is, you can see the faces and hear the voices of people in a video. That often helps when you want to find out if it's their opinion or just scripted.
Both formats serves a purpose. Websites allows for higher resolution images and graphs. Videos obviously lets you get a more visual impression of a product.

Can you compare a manual 2x crop of the 108Mp S20 Ultra versus 2x zoom of other phones including Note10 or S10? I think when you are on "12Mp mode" and do a 2x zoom it does a digital zoom of the 12Mp photo and not of the original 108Mp, so you end up loosing quality. Zooming 2x in the original 108Mp (whitout doeing pixel binning and reducing it to 12Mp) would result in better quality.

Heck, even S20 Ultra uses frame interpolation for the feature because it cannot natively record footage at 960fps.
While Huawei's aggressive marketing strategy is often far from being commendable, you can definitely tell that Samsung is also getting influenced by them in a bad way and following the same path, and I bet you are feeling it from the way they are advertising S20 series/Z Flip. And hey, at least Huawei is still putting down the actual focal length of the zoom lens instead of tacky, confusing "SPACE ZOOM 100X" writing.

                    - The thing just works as it should, regarding faking or not

'faking the so-called 7680fps through intrpolation'
                    - U said it yourself, an interpolation. But the results is impressive. Without interpolation, Mate 30 still holds the title for true 1920fps. No other company comes close.

"Vario-Summilux" label with fake FL is a laugh'
                    - U got it all wrong. Leica naming scheme on its lens system is not about FL, but differentiate between aperture levels. Between f1.1 to 1.9, its called Summilux, which intent for low light photography. Summicron at f2.0, Summarit at f2.2 (P9 & Mate 9) & so on. But the 'Vario' naming kind of misleading, as only the main sensor got the said aperture (with UWA in Mate30). Maybe because all FL got Night Mode.

What i found more ridiculous are '100x Space Zoom'. Yuck.

A higher resolution sensor produces more favourable results in most scenario, though for a fairer comparison you would need to use Mi 10 Pro with SD865 instead.
