Display design and bezels are budget level stuff and mar this otherwise polished design.
Come on LG, this phone's front is ugly for 2019, let alone 2020.
I'm guessing LG is cutting costs with the fab process to maximise profits here (hence the lack of a larger aperture main sensor and a telephoto lens for pro portraits).
The other specs and features are great, especially for headphone lovers.

It's a good phone, but at this price it has some short-comings which are annoying.
    1. Too big. 6.8 in? This is what a tablet? And also with a FHD screen? No thanks
    2. What's up with that outdated notch design and thick bezels?
    3. Poor availablity and software support
Otherwise, it seems like a really good phone

Delete : screen case, headphone jack
      Add: 7" 19.5:9 screen, shrink bezels, 5500-6000 mAh battery, USB-C 3.1, 1/1.3" camera

Now that would be a much better phone to compete with S20 Ultra

This shows that you can never please anyone. It has a 3.5mm jack, the one thing everyone cries about. But they still find something wrong with it

If it weren't for the horrible U-shaped notch would have been almost a perfect phone as I don't need 3-5-10 cameras, 1 or 2 good cameras is more than enough. I DESPISE phones with screen cut-outs, notches or whatever hole that makes me have a black dot when playing content on the display. I don't like the tall shape of the Sony phones, but I believe that would be my next purchase, just as soon as my V30 brokes down.

notafanboy, 26 Feb 2020wait for the G9 it will probably be smaller.I would certainly hope so. Though I doubt there will even be a G9, certainly not outside of Korea

Well considering this actually goes against S20+, even if it comes at $1000, it is still $200 cheaper.
Last LG that I have bought was G7, that my wife use...she's happy with it.

If LG wants to succeed in mobile industry only pricing is the most important factor

Hope LG DOES NOT GETS LOST LIKE **SONY**(HIGH PRICING)

For someone who doesn't game or watch a lot of videos on a phone, the V60 does have a lot going for it. I love that it still has a SD card slot and the headphone jack with DAC! That said, LG's support on their phones has been far from stellar and the camera specs are medeocre at best for a flagship. The price needs to be a LOT lower than the Samsung S20 for me to consider this as my next phone.

Wish they didn't remove the Tele lens. Also, how can you talk about keeping prices low by cutting "extras" like ram and high refresh screens, but then BUNDLE the second display with the phone? That 2nd display is a garbage gimmick that's dead weight adding to the cost.

DAC, people. Which DAC chip is inside? Really, it's the only important thing that differentiates this phone from others.

LG needs a new development team and a new head of the smartphone division.

luka3rd, 26 Feb 2020Too BIG! Next one, please...But nowadays the big screen is very important. How you will play, seee films and so on on small screen

This one was a little underwhelming, if the price is over $1k i think ill wait for the g series

                              Too BIG! Next one, please...

Only I see that there are 4 peepholes on the back and it can't be flash. But in specs it is written that there are 3 cameras. Can somebody explain me what is this.
I think LG made a perfect because you really don't need QHD display and 90/120hz display because this 90/120 hz will be only in menu or very rare apps.
But why Lg used ufs 2.1 I can't understand

Anonymous, 26 Feb 2020FHD instead of previous QHD. Gorilla 5 instead of 6 Usb 2... moreThe specs mention USB 3.1. I think it is a typo, perhaps a confusion with Power Delivery 2.0 charging

Mumulenka, 26 Feb 2020- teardrop notch (like any other notch) is atrocious - LG ... moreFHD resolution shouldn't really be a problem, it is still sharp enough. I am more concerned that there is no mention of HDR.
Software situation has somewhat improved in their last models, ofcourse still it's not good enough.
Camera quality, I have found that main problem with LG is software processing of photos. With GCAM mod they produce as good pictures as any other flagship.
I agree about the notch. And the phone is too big.
The main question though is the price - if they ask 1000$ they will drive away even more people than before

"How not to write a hands on review" experience.

First of all, what happened to G9? It's the first time LG has announced a V phone before a G phone. If anything, this should've been the G9. The V series is their premium flagship series, so the obvious downgrades in specs don't look so appealing on this model.

I appreciate the bigger battery & upgraded camera, but they should've came on top of what V50 offered instead of trading some specs for others.

If LG prices this right, they'll have a seller on their hands, otherwise not...
