Archie, 03 Apr 2020Ummm... Am I reading this right? 60°C? 81°C? 92°C?Those are normal peak CPU temps when you use an app that was designed to ramp-up performance until the CPU throttles. Remember, that's peak temp, not the total average on all the surface of the device.

The only brand that I consider true to its gaming phone, other brands should also consider that the fan is not an optional external package of a gaming-centric phone, it should be integral in the device itself. I really hope that other "gaming" phones should also consider this type of design and improve it even. Now, IF ONLY this phone is sold Globally.

Anonymous, 03 Apr 2020That if you think refresh rate it’s more important than gam... moreiPad will throttle easier than gaming phones and are not egronomic (comfortable to hold) for some people.
But the thing is that many mobile games (ex. PUBG Mobile, Fortnite, Rules of Survival, etc.) are better optimised for ios than Android. Doesn't matter if iPhones throttle easily or capped to 60Hz, but the fact is that some devs have successfully integrated their games well into ios.
Also gaming phones are pointless considering the amount of demanding games in the Play/App Store. There are only a handful of these. Especially demanding, non p2w, Esports mobile games. I can only list a few.
It only makes sense if YouTubers buy gaming phones for livestreaming, but until then gaming phones are pointless.
Not to mention the monetization devs put in compared to PC games.

MagicMonkeyBoy, 03 Apr 2020That's a really good review GSMArena... A bet its a bit dif... moreAh here we go
The monkey boy reappearing again, how long have you been slaved by gaming developers?
Also I haven't found lots of demanding mobile games in Play Store, App Store, and even Uptodown and Apkpure.
Only PUBG, COD Mobile, and Fortnite? Asphalt 9 is demanding but pay-to-win and littered with ads. Bright Memory Mobile is far from finished. Dragon Raja is another cash cow. Shadowgun Legends is not popular. Happy gaming yes happy wasting money and time. Can't think of more demanding games in the Play Store where gaming phones are useful.

MagicMonkeyBoy, 03 Apr 2020I have refresh rate selector. It's in Game Space though. 60... moreDude, vomiting or not, over 99% of people in 2020 still use only devices with 60Hz displays (the true gamers actually don't need more) and this, of course, is more than enough. Everything equal or over 24FPS (24Hz) is smooth and uninterrupted for the human brain and 60Hz is 2.5 times more than this barrier... As I see you have got experience only with 60Hz PC/TV/phone displays because your words that playing a 60Hz game on a high refresh rate screen would be way better than playing the same game on "surprisingly" the same 60Hz screen are total no sense... I know that from FPV, bro. I have a 90Hz (non-gaming) phone and when I play WoT Blitz or other games capped at 60Hz in the game settings is literally the same - 1/1 the same like playing these games on my 60Hz tablet, my 60Hz Laptop and my 90Hz smartphone but on the 60Hz screen mode in the phone's settings...

and the Camera with that Huge 1/1.72 sensor is just superb wasn't expecting a good camera on a gaming phone but i am really surprised.

TF? China says it want's to reduce their impact on the environment but it's smartphone industry is telling us otherwise. The last time i used a smartphone for less than 3 years was back in 2012, when i replaced my nokia x6 with an i9300. When i check gsma every few days (now every day due to the ccp virus) i'm always frustrated that phones are either: A) glass sandwiches meant for a womans relief rather than a multi electrical sensor tool. B) being designed for alien fingers(or at least proper piano players) and C) having next to no aftermarket support.

MagicMonkeyBoy, 03 Apr 2020I have refresh rate selector. It's in Game Space though. 60... moreThat if you think refresh rate it’s more important than games optimization that android games pearly has it! Games developers of android can’t even developed games with new android phones aspect ratio (yeah very few games it does runs the new aspect ratio), but 90% games comes with old 16:9 aspect ratio to date unlike iPhone that games optimized for iPhone. In case if I want gaming device that can runs with most powerful hardware around I will with new iPad Pro 2020 that runs games with fully 120fps.

MagicMonkeyBoy, 03 Apr 2020I have refresh rate selector. It's in Game Space though. 60... moreNot for gaming dude. 90Hz refresh rates are great for Social Media and Web browsing but it'd be nice to run 60Hz on the home screen, while on WhatsApp, Youtube Vanced, etc. Just to save a little more on battery.
Either way, I saw the specs for the NA version. They reduced the LTE bands DRASTICALLY for this one and as a T-Mobile customer, it works but it could be better (band 66 is REALLY needed where I live) as well as Sprint's bands now that the 2 have merged together.

Anyway I never use 60hz?
Who still uses 60hz? We are not in the 90's anymore.
90hz screen on a 60hz game is still way better than an iPhone 11 Pro max running a 60hz game with its appalling 60hz screen. - Makes me want to vomit. Sorry.
