If software updates are important to you, then go for OnePlus. You receive updates faster, and get 3 OS updates. With Samsung, the updates come late, and you only get 2 OS updates.
Specs-wise, the two phones are very alike. If your region gets the Exynos SoC in S20+, then you need to consider that as well.

I was thinking to buy it to replace my OP5. Unfortunately OnePlus made a big mistake this year. The phone just doesn't worth the price and it seems to be a downgrade, now costing $200 more than 7T. Big disappointment. I'll look somewhere else.

V60 has a lot of things going for it. I don't need the latest and the greatest. Based on photo comparisons videos I seen....the spec wars are sort of redundant for the most part. The $400-500 I save with a v60 can buy me a short trip. I'd much rather do that than fall victim to the hype of spec wars these days

Anonymous, 26 Apr 2020Your statement of DAC doesn't matter, headphone matters mor... moreLoving the one plus 8 pro it's meant I can sell my S20 ultra and still be left with the best phone in the UK if only Samsung gave UK customers the snapdragon chipset they would have there loyal customers but they don't and they never will so I'm back with OnePlus for the first time since the OnePlus 3 the first OnePlus you could buy without a invite...love this phone and the glacier green looks amazing and blue in most lights. I got the 256gb with the 12gb of RAM and I recommend you all do the same..

Yes, the OnePlus 8 is a bit more expensive than the 7T. The price hike is not really justified, even though it is not targeted at the 7T owners, still the new consumers are better off buying the 7T, now at lower prices.

The reas... moreYour statement of DAC doesn't matter, headphone matters more just mute whatever you said earlier and render your logic invalid.... Heaving a in-phone 3.5mm jack is convenient, but it the DAC and implementation of the DAC that give the base of having a good sound quality.

How do you think this compares with the Realme X50 Pro? I know the X50 Pro got marked down for its camera performance but it seems better value otherwise and hopefully a software update will improve the X50 camera.
