Even though I will personally NEVER buy a notched or punch holed or curved screen phone, I think that curved screens and punch holes (not notches) look sleek and nice, as simple as that. It doesn't require being smart to like something or not. Practicality yes, and on that I agree with you. But don't confuse visual and practical preferences, that's not what a "SMART" person does.

Motorola could have done better! Not saying it is not great device! But look oppo find x2 pro. Great device. Edge+ less great.

Sound test show worse results than Edge.
Curved screen.
Hole on screen.
No 4K video on ultra wide .
No SD card on a phone that can record 6K.
Things I do not consider flaw:
- 18W charging, it will be better for the battery.
- telephoto is 8MP, it is not capable of 4K

If you like what you're seeing, then i suggest you buy this phone. It's definitely one of the better flagships released this year.

The Night Vision samples here don't seem to have the same effect that the Night Vision sample from the official samples Motorola revealed awhile back had, kind of weird

Stop suppor... morePeople ask a phone to have full display without bezels on it now you are complaining, curve display is good not for the S6 and S7 edge they are way to sharp (flat back dont male sense if you have an edge display)
than this 90 degree curve from Motorola and having a case is not my thing. Been using flagship phones for 5 years and none of them had cases on it and no screen protectors, I purchase it for the looks not for covers.

Things I do not understand.
Curved screens : Never pointed as con. They cost more than flat counterpart, more fragile, viewing angle issues, glare, colour shift and will look a side frame when oled degrades more in the "flat portion".
camera: I hope the wax scenario trend that started with p20 pro vanishes soon. Many phones do it and still get praised who knows why. Also companies increase a lot sensor but still keep using f1.7 and f1.8, no surprise most of the scenes are blurry
battery: it is 1080p panel powered by 5000mAh, should be at least 112h.

Stop supporting this idiotic ugly mess!!!
Again, people of GSMArena, you are supposed to be the SMART ones, who knows why curved displays are trash and who tells about it to your readers and to manufacturers. Why don't you do that?!
Curved displays are objectively absolutely bad - they have no reasons to exist, they distort image and glare on edges, they are either uncomfortable without case or don't let to use "back" and "previous app" gestures with case, they cost more than the same specs flat displays.
Any smartphone with curved display is garbage, period.
Same goes for hole-punch selfie cameras - they look bad [no cutouts > any other option > hole-punch], they leave unused pixels above it, they are unnecessary because too big screen-to-body ratio is unnecessary - it's not a monitor, it's a smartphone that you hold with your hands!

This phone probably has very poor standby power management.
Because considering the results of talking time, web browsing and video playback, the final 100h is very low.

Moto doesn't have the brand appeal it once used to have, and with the multiple flaws this phone has over other flagships (S20, OP8 Pro, etc), it's unlikely that many will choose this phone over those less flawed, and more popular ones. Hence, the phone needs a price drop. It's not rocket science...
Oh, and i comment about all phones. I don't buy them all though. So no, i don't personally care about the price of this phone.

I have the impression that gsmarena exchanged the auto night photos with the night mode photos because the night mode photos have more blown out highlights.
