You can't deny the fact that the new OLEDs burn out, and I can't deny that the old ones don't.

Well we all know why the new OLEDs burn out, but you have an unique chance to explain to us all why the older OLEDs don't.

    Cons: 4K screen has little pratical benifit, next they say 4k 60p is not available and selfie CAM has no 4K capability.
    what's the use to shoot in 4K the device is not capable to render it in 4K. If they say the first point is valid and other Cons aren't a con is it ?

        while oleds don't last due to burnout. And LCDs at peak brightness actually consume less energy than OLEDs, proven by one Huawei P20 series where they had a device with IPS and a device with OLED with the same characteristics beside that, and the latter has worse battery life.

                      And no, I am not trying to say "what type of users Sony attracts". Every brand has its fans, some are more vocal, some often use "sheep" and other therms.

Considering the state of release - delays, firmware issues, camera issues on first samples etc.
                        I believe majory of the team behind this device hated this device and wanted to finaly be over with.
                        This not usualy the fairy tale of happy smiling geniuses, it's much more often a story of hard working people and their work is made miserable by deadlines and management.

                        Plus and this is a big one for this topic - we don't know anything, we can only guess and compare to other projects where people involved shared their story.

                          Lastest big release from samsung, the S20U, has about half less comments on its review.
                          The most commented article on this website is the Sony XZ Premium's review, with over 1200 reactions. This is certainly not a minority, this is big

                            So they went all in and did what they wanted to do, instead of doing what the people want.
                            The engineers behind this device were driven by passion, not by reason. And I love that.

                            You gotta admit, this is kinda rare nowadays. Especially in this industry.

                                AnonD-546724, 08 Jun 2020Everyday new phones are announced. Phones that are worse ... moreIf you are in a market for a new phone, Xperia 1 II certainly looks like a decent device. Yet there are almost no reviews, so I myself am waiting one more month before I buy it.
                                I am seriously considering this device, yet I am well aware it's just a small incremental upgrade over my current phone.
                                There is literally nothing special about this device ... well that's wrong, that eye focus is still a rarity (even though my current phone has it, only the slower version of it).

                                  Honestly makes me want to get a MK II just to understand what's so magic about it.

                                      Price seems too steep for now! But it's not just sony.
                                      I was a Samsung user when I discovered Sony phones. Been a Sony phone user ever since.
                                      I can't really understand why people here and elsewhere insist sony phones are behind everyone else. This is just nonsense. In fact my sony's are usually faster than the so called better phones.
                                      A bit of advice to people looking for their next phone trough benchmarks... DON'T. When directly (side by side) comparing my current sony with a 30% better on benchmarks other brand phone, sony works faster than the supposedly "better" (according to benchmarks) phone!
                                      Is there anything more to be said?
