Also, even if you include motion blur as a 'quality' parameter, OIS won't be able to compensate for subject movement, it can only eliminate camera shake, so its role is pretty limited anyways.
Sensor and lens (sensor size, pixel size, aperture, etc.) are of much more importance...

Anonymous, 04 Jun 2020They've concluded that your headphones play a way bigger ro... moreYou may be right, but its not about what they've concluded in their mind. Its just that their printed, published statements are false... As journalists they're not supposed to say lies.
1. No, all phones are not excellent (or even near excellent) in Audio quality. Its a blatant lie. LG flagships are awesome, some others range from good to ok-ok and even bad.
2. No, the difference is not indistinguishable to naked ears, I've myself distinguished between Redmi Note 7 Pro and Redmi 2 Prime. I can do it again in a blind test too, but only on a favourite, well heard song.
As long as both these sentences are false, it doesn't make a difference what point they're trying to make... Lie is lie, simple.
But yes, they could use reframed words, if what they mean is different from what they wrote.
They removed audio test, we've somehow made peace with it, but why lie in every review?

So how will it be 4MP?
Quad Bayer can also function as regular Bayer sensors just won't have the same quality.
Besides in daylight it will give respectable images and the small 0.8 micron pixel size won't be a hindrance to image quality.
At night most cameras already crop from Main sensor.

what unit did you review? lpddr4x and lpddr5 has no meaningful difference in day to day usage, but gaming performance could differ up to 30%! please do state in the article which version did you guys reviewed.

BrendonF, 04 Jun 2020Ill try my best to explain. UWA lenses for macro are pretty... moreThe reason you don't see macro on ultrawide is primary due to working distance. On most 100mm 1:1 macro, you have a focusing distance of about 30-35cm from object to SENSOR, that leaves you with barely 10cm from the front of the lens. People who take wildlife macro usually go for 180-200mm to have a focusing distance of about 45-50cm at 1:1 magnification.
Simply say, if one is to use a ultra wide like 15-20mm lens, the focusing distance to get full 1:1 magnification will be so close that it is impractical, as the lens will be blocking out most of the light by itself. But due to sensor being smaller on smartphone, you don't need 1:1 to capture the same frame compare to SLR, allowing slightly more working distance, having said that, a 50mm will give you better working distance than a 13mm ultrawide if you are capturing the same frame.
In other word, a cropped sensor might be more ideal in the world of macro photography than a fullframe (comparing similar sensor performance)

All of Xiaomi flagship and mid end phones are now titan. So big and heavy.
Disappointed. There's no differentiation for consumer.
So far still stay on their 2019 flagship.

IpsDisplay, 04 Jun 2020Can someone with camera know how explain some of these jarg... moreIll try my best to explain. UWA lenses for macro are pretty useless. Macro is close up ability and if you use the UWA lens since its a very wide image you have to go very very close in order to get the best results.
If you use a 50mm lens to shoot macros you can move back and take a similar image so its much easier to take macro shots with a 50mm lens over a UWA lens.
In the professional world where I work in there are no UWA macro lenses except maybe one or two which hardly anyone uses. All professional macro lenses are around 100mm tele lenses while a few are 50mm. So for macro more tele the better it is to use.
The macro lens can ONLY be used for macro photography. It can't be used to click buildings and other normal photos as it can only focus on close objects.
The 2x zoom is digital only. There is no optical zoom whatsoever. So all it does is crop the 64 MP camera more to give you a fake zoom effect. The results are decent but the camera software needs to be updated ASAP.

IpsDisplay, 04 Jun 2020Can someone with camera know how explain some of these jarg... more25-26mm - is the normal lens, wide
12-14mm - is ultrawide lens
50mm - is the 2x, most used for portrait mode in photography
All these numbers came from photography department and they are optical raports based on sensor demensions.
5x represent, usually 25x5 or x3, and they are telephoto.

Good review more detailed than the old ones and it's nice, yes the phone is too heavy and I don't understand that some people at GSM Arena prefer heavy phones it's because it uses them for 20 seconds because otherwise the handle bad for a long period of use and this is the reality, smartphones have become too big too heavy and too expensive
