              Not a fan of Huawei at all, but hot damn, they're on a different level with the camera.

              It's funny to think that if it wasn't for the US ban, the progress of improving cameras would be much slower for Huawei, because they wouldn't have to compensate for the lack of Google services... I would ike to see the ban being lifted though, because once Huawei is able to use Google Play again, other manufacturers won't be able to rely on fact that people won't buy Huawei devices for the lack of the Google aps, and they'll be forced to catch up with the cameras.

Here in Italy, the Pro version of this phone now costs around 700€, a huge depreciation in value I would say and that is mainly because of the lack of GMS in an otherwise perfect hardware. I am not a fan of those oversized front cameras though, I know they are for infrared sensors and all but seriously it takes too much screen space.

                  is it possible to shot raw in the telephoto?

                    All those default HDR phones need to tone down the poison green in grass and foliage.

                            Finally a phone with real innovation, not just a slightly bigger screen or fast charging. I can live without Google, there are other services that work too. Who says Google is the one and only??

                              Shame for optics but sharpness is better than in xperia anyway.
                              Ultrawide is surprise here, its sharper than normal fov cam, I would use it as main camera.
                              As for 10x... thats real spying machine, unlike IR that never was.

                                Youtube works just fine on the mobile site (I'm using the P40). Actually I prefer it to the app as I was able to block all ads, something not possible in the app.
                                Getting rid of Google is the best thing that happened to Huawei. Thanks to Bozo.
