'dont cover the earphone area. To turn off this feature, press the volume up button' this is the message I started getting 2 days ago on my redmi note 9 when I try to open my phone. And when I do this, it goes off and I'm able to unlock my phone. But I noticed this feature make my phone go blank anytime I'm receiving or making a call. How do I remove this feature entirely please. I have checked settings and can't find anything. I don't know if I mistakenly pressed something! Had anyone experienced this? How were you able to solve the problem please?

The worst handset ever purchased. Just brought 2 days ago.
1. Selfie camera is pathetic. Note 5 had better selfie camera.
2. Sensor don't support selfie mode.use volume buttons.
3. 48 mega pixel is ok feature.
4. Not even worth of 5000rs.
5. Product is absolutely worth -0 rantings.
6. DONT BUY EVEN FOR FREE.

The xiaomi redmi note 9 proximity sensor is annoying, disabled the pocket mode but still experiencing the problem, what is a permanent solution for this???

Best handset in this range working smoothly on my end after miui12 update sometime causes battery drainage problen
If you face any lag issues during game especially in pubg then i have a solution
Goto developer options you will find an option of smallest width by default it is set to 392dp make it 360 and the problem will solved
Let me know if it works on your end too

This phone is not for gaming. Super lagging when come to gaming. It is very resource consuming, and can't handle more than 2 apps in the background.

hi dear friends hope you doing well :) i just found the solution for this serious lags in this morning when i was tweaking some things in the phone and i realized thats a bug in the miui and it does not matter which version you are using just do this instructions im writing :
1 - activate developer mode
2 - go to developer mode options
3 -turn off miui optimization
4 - go play that game and then you will see all lags are fixed
5 - now if you want you can turn on miui optimization
works for all notch modes
please show this thread to everyone so they can enjoy their games :) big love to you

Does Redmi Note 9 has battery drain issue? Just got a phone three days ago and seems battery charge is not lasting n the night. Have tried to switch off - sync, kept default screen savers, wifi off. What should I do? return the defective piece or am I missing something

Anonymous, 30 Jul 2020just hide your notch and your good to goLol yes cos that'll it fix it! Not! Hiding the notch has ZERO effect on the performance. It runs rubbish and lags due to the very weak MTK CPU. NEVER ever get one if you wanna use for anything other than very light gaming like candy crush, phone calls and light Web browsing. Real gaming and Netflix, you're just dreaming with this phone.
