I like the design and the os of it. 4 great front cameras that use different features and it cost cheap too. And it has high storage and ram too. [128 gb ssd and 6gb ram, for a great price]

Isn't there anyway to sideload the MI caller app on this device so as to have call recording on it?

Please research some more and get outta hear saying it's completely different technology this is a massive misunderstanding by you and many other people

Just got the phone today. The biggest con for me is MIUI losing functionality for useless Google apps. This means: no app vault, no call recording, no contacts, no messaging, no calendar. All these apps were replaced by stock Google applications. I'm really pissed about this.

It is a limitation of micro LED itself not being commercially viable and not LCD
Dual cell LCD is currently available on the market and it has pixel level illumination just like oled
So once again this has nothing to do with LCD limitations
Infact LCD will be the first to incorporate micro led bulbs into its backlight because of its cheapness
Instead of 100% microled screens that cost too much

I'm looking to upgrade from Redmi Note 5 myself - with telephoto cams almost getting mainstream (Redmi 10X Pro, Mi 10 youth) all you need is a proper 2X optical zoom and that already beats "artificial" interpolation in 64 MP modes (it's not real 64 MP!). I figure in the next couple iterations telephoto feature will probably trickle down to midrange offerings, i.e. when people wise up to useless macro and depth effect cams, lol.

Realme 6 offers the same level performance (with G90T) and 90Hz display but at the cost of smaller battery and no NFC, but Redmi note 9 pro got ads in it (depends on select country).
I will wait for Vivo for a couple of months, hope they offer better options with their new Z series and hopefully iQoo is available too in my country

An excellent phone and no doubt stands tall among it's competitors.
The competitor's can't compete as far as build quality, specs and price is concerned.

The direct cause of backlighting bleed in LCD is directly caused by the amount of bulbs in the backlight and by extension the sizes of the bulbs in the backlight
An LCD panel can have bulbs as small as microled bulbs which means they can have pixel level illumination just like oled
This pixel level illumination is even present for dual cell LCD panels
This proves that IT IS correlation as LCD itself isn't inherently flawed this way but it is dependent on the backlight or type of technology used

Oh what a bummer.... I was eyeing this phone for quite a while, for that 64MP mode plus better Pro Mode.... if 64MP mode is going to look way worse than Note 8 Pro, it can’t be called an upgrade at all. If this is not an error or bug, then this is what I call disappointment. Just note that it is disappointing FOR ME, the rest of the phone looks damn fine. Just what I really need and want the most was a let down.
