I just got my ZenFone 7 and I knew in advance that it didn't have a 3.5 headphone jack but I am surprised that it didn't have a USB adaptor and headset like the pixel 5 has . Is this the case with all ZenFone 7 s or am I missing something that should have been in the box

You clearly have never used OnePlus flagship devices. Optical takes like 0.01 second to unlock. It's instant. And always reliable.

    "Price is right"
It costs a fortune and more. Close to 1000$ because of the SD865/865+ chipset.

I am also pondering about the device but...
    - ASUS has horrible service. OnePlus horrible. Just awful. Everyone who had to send in their phones complained about their dreadful experience. Even their official site just gives 1 year instead of the regular 2. So I am scared.
    - ASUS has a horrible update track record. You may or may not get Android updates. The ROG Phone had delayed updates too. So that scares me as well.

There is only Samsung, but I really don't like how slow even the Note 10+ felt. I could get OnePlus, but see warranty. There is practically none. At this rate I'll just get an A71 and call it a day. :(

Finally OIS in the Camera and a flagship phone with ultrasonic fingerprint sensor on the side . Optical finger print sensor lags and I hate it so much that no longer use it on my Samsung. If the price is right, I will definitely buy this phone. I can live with no 3.5mm input for the headphone because the phone ticks all the other right boxes.

I don’t understand the reason of 230g and the absence of wireless charging and audio jack in such a big phone.

The price and lack of a 3.5mm jack is a deal breaker for me... I'd rather get the older model and it'll probably have the same lifespan for it (3-4 years of use based on how much I've lasted with phones)

Non-symmetric LED flash position. Could be placed top of middle camera.

Compared to the ugly Samsung Galaxy and Note devices, this Asus phone looks like miss World!

With the SD865 chipset, the price of the phone would definitely be more than what it's worth. Also Dimensity chipsets are much more powerful.

Well I hope they provide timely OS updates for atleast 2 years and security patches too...

builderx79, 28 Aug 2020U wrong Asus make It PERFECTLY SO IT won't crack!Too bad ASUS does not care about their customers when it comes to phones. As a Zenfone user myself, I warn people I know to steer clear of ASUS mobile products. Updates are NOT provided as promised. Only one major update is provided to their flagship when promised two. ASUS is overall a gimmicky clown when it comes to phones, sub-par performance and not reliable. I recommend other brands like OnePlus and even XiaoMi if you are able to dig your pocket more.

phones get broken beacause most people are stupid, fools and careless wimps. I'm an avid phone user, I keep phones for 3-4 years then I sell them in perfect conditions and buy a new one

gimm, 28 Aug 2020flip camera is fragile. its so easy to crack if you acciden... moreUnfortunately 6months until usage and the front glass cracked at top right corner radiating out a few fault lines after a few drops. The phone was still working fine if you ignore the fault lines, until one further unfortunate drop from desk height gave ways to rainbow colored lines(mostly black) from top to one of fault line 0.75inch vertical at longest. I cannot activate "save" button when editing pics now. Apparently if you are prone to dropping your phones like I do, Asus may not make the cut. I had no problem with my galaxy even after 2 years usage, yes unfortunately I have butter fingers and dropped them too!

Also i understand moving parts will always be more fragile but if this is deal breaker, i wonder if u have a car or even got in a motor vehicle, plenty of moving parts there

It blows my mind that Umidigi can provide so much band support(particularly for the US)...even band 13 for Verizon(which is their largest coverage band), yet others lack so many of them with prices that are double, triple, or even quadruple the price of an Umidigi.

Sedp23, 27 Aug 2020Is this phone coming to America? Everywhere I read it'... moreThis is what I was hoping for and asus left us out apparently. The new rog has band 66 (most common tmo band around my state) and 71 (while not as common its nice to have but not a deal breaker). I had the zenfone 6 and kept running into no service areas since 12 isnt enough to sustain usable tmobile unless youre in a specific area with 12 support all the time. It completely boggles me why they dont have a universal modem when even companies like umidigi selling $100 smartphones have 66 and sometimes 71 depending how old the processors are. Asus main site doesnt specify regions so I guess were stuck with this which I cant see replacing my oneplus 7t until we get a proper 5g phone that isnt samsung prices :/
