I said, Samsung made it for Vivo's custom choice. Samsung has historically never made a sensor alone to let it use only by other brands.
Vivo wanted this type sensor and Samsung made it for them.

This instantly tells me you did not look at the sample photos after all. They are not the same at all, in fact Mi 10 Ultra processes images far more leniently than Mi 10 that tends to oversharpen and apply aggressive denoise filter to smooth out grains. Per-pixel detail level is clearly superiour on Ultra, end of story.
And don't even bring iPhones into this discussion. While their medium-low light performance is commendable given its small sensor size, they apply too much clarity boost and sharpening during the day which make natural objects like leaves and trees look very hard and unnatural.

This is the true ultra phone for the year 2020, high-end phone with manageable price. Damn, that camera and charging capability can already justify the 900 USD price.

For the best photo's,you always have to manual refocus,even if you have a €/$ 4000 camera. But the selfie modus auto focussus on your face,so no problem,and the AI system does the rest.... So autofocus only is usefull for shadows,not for the sharpness...It has nothing to do with it..... Just for video's it is more usefull.....
