Why most people are talking about the camera using? Is it because the camera are up to standard or most people that talk about the camera are Samsung or apple fans

Any S20 Ultra/Note 20 Ultra users here?
This right here is the phone that deserves the "Ultra" moniker.

Same for the S20, smaller screen size with lower capacity battery.
This is a 6.67" screen size phone.
In comparison, Apple iPhone 11 pro Max with 4000mah battery is 226gm for 6.5" model.

Nick Tagataka, 05 Sep 2020Don't worry, you didn't spoil anything.. I know t... moreI admit that "remosaicing" is an unfamiliar term, one that needs research on my part. On the Samsung sensor though, I wouldn't pin it on the infographic. Looking back, they had 48 MP, (GM1), 64 MP (GW1), 108 MP (HM1) , and ... 50MP (GN1) ? Even the most casual observer sees that there's something fundamentally different about the latest offering. Could it be that the previous ones (all 0.8 micron pixels) are not "true" 48, 64, or 108 MP?

GW1 isn't the predecessor of GN1.
GN... moreGN1 is a camera sensor made by Samsung & Vivo has no control over it. https://www.samsung.com/semiconductor/minisite/isocell/mobile-image-sensors/isocell-gn1/
Vivo just buys it from Samsung for one of their phones.

If I had a choice and Xiaomi phones were offered next to Oppo, OnePlus, Hornor, Huawei, or Vivo, I'd pick the Xiaomi.

AnonD-641645, 05 Sep 2020Wow, you seem to be confused about what Bayer means, and wh... moreDon't worry, you didn't spoil anything.. I know that all Bayer sensors need DEmosaicing. But here's the spoiler for you: I'm talking about REmosaicing, which is a fundamentally different process despite carrying a similar name. The former is a colour interpolation process required to construct colour images, whereas the latter is a signal processing that converts quad Bayer's data into an approximation of what native 48MP *would have* captured (which then goes under demosaicing to create full resolution colour images, though this would lead to infamous wormy artifacts, distorted patterns and severe moires). I'm not the one who is mixing terms up, after all.
"thus making it also a proper Bayer sensor"
Haha, no. They literally say on their website that it's Tetracell with some infographics of the filter array it uses. It is still technically a "Bayer" sensor, yes, but the colour resolution is only 12.5MP equivalent despite having 50 million pixels.

1/2.3" sensor can't compete with 1/3" sensor.
Besides, those phones absolutely get destroyed in Ultrawide and telephoto modes.
We aren't living in the era where cameras are judged only based on main cam performance.

I suggest you do some reading on the subject, then come back here. But here's a spoiler: Bayer by definition requires demosaicing.
On GN1, it seems that the specs are almost identical to the OV48C: 1/1.3" sensor size, 1.2 micron pixel, in which case there's no reason that the color filter cells are not 1.2 micron as well, thus making it also a proper Bayer sensor. Notice that its predecessor GW1, a bona fide Quad Bayer sensor, has 0.8 micron pixel size (and thus 1.6 micron color filter cells).

AnonD-641645, 05 Sep 2020From xda-developers.com
"The 48MP flagship image se... more4-cell is OV's marketing name for Quad Bayer (since QB is a term used by Sony), just like Tetracell is Samsung's way of saying it. I'm assuming that BCFA is, from its name, an equivalent of Samsung's ISOCELL and Sony's DTI technology, therefore is nothing to do with the pixel arrangement.
If it was a native 48MP sensor then it wouldn't have required "hardware remosaic, which provides high-quality 48MP Bayer output" in the first place. You need "remosaic", a.k.a. array conversion signal processing, to construct a full resolution 48MP image BECAUSE it's quad Bayer. The rest of the description looks to be highly inaccurate as there's nothing in OV's press release note and product brief that suggests what XDA is saying is correct.
"How do you think it can capture 48MP at 15 fps?"
Are you suggesting that such fast sensor readout is only possible because it's a native 48MP sensor? Sorry but again that's nothing to do with quad Bayer. Samsung's latest Tetracell sensor GN1, for instance, can output FULL 50MP at 24fps. How about that?
