Though the SoC is old but it's not the reason behind laggy performance. You see Samsung have to define a line between A series and M series. So the difference is the OS. The M series uses ONE UI Core while the A series uses Full fledged ONE UI, which is well optimised as well. I can say this with my experience with A51 and M30s(My father's). The M30s takes longer time to dot things and stutteres a lot.

As Samsung clearly wants to use its own Exynos chips rather than Snapdragon, they should retire these old SOCs and use Exynos 880 for mid-range phones.

this phone is not worth it. unless where you live there are limited options, specially in this price range (like where i live, in brazil). The camera is meh, except for the main one. they should just have a main, A GOOD ultrawide and 3x telephoto (because 2x and nothing are the same thing), and not this stupid macro and depth sensor. The screen is only 60hz, and it does not have stereo speakers... But overall is not a bad, awful phone, just not worth it when compared to the competition, so if, like i said, you dont have access to the competition phones where you live, with the m31s i guess you will have a good casual experience

There are two types of people who might consider a phone like this:
1. Those who stick by the company name, the brand value and after sales etc. and will never use Chinese, people like me.
2. Those who are samsung fanboys.
This phone's only advantage is its display and battery life and maybe the brand value and the same leading to a good after sales experience, otherwise unless Samsung starts using SD and just plain ditch that rubbish oneui there are going nowhere.

The M30s has a 48 MP main camera whereas M31s has a 64 MP Sony IMX 682 main camera sensor, which makes a load of difference in the camera department..
Good things Samsung is launching the M51 on 10 September with Snapdragon 730G. The Exynos chipset was the only major weak point of this device..

You may be a Samsung fan, hence could not tolerate the genuine criticism of the phone by GSMA, but kudos to GSMA for stating the facts as-is without any omissions/favors.

Almost useless review. Reviewer doesn't even know that there was a phone named M31 which was more identical to this phone than M30s.
The phone has 60hz Amoled which most people will consider better than 90hz LCD of Realme. The performance of this phone is good as I hv used M31 having same chipset. Mainly Realme has better chipset while samsung has better screen, punch hole, bigger battery. Flashy Glass back doesn't matter much as everyone uses case. The ultrawide camera of samsung is better than realme's. Lastly, the one UI is better overall than realme UI. Also samsung provides software support for it phones longer than realme.

Sounds cool but at least could have been Master card certified and bixby natural language commands , nothing is really enticing here.

GSMareana please do complete reviews of Samsung mid-range phones like M31, M21 and this one. Why you ignore samsung everytime, while you do full reviews of almost every budget and mid-range phone from chinese brands.
