Samsung Galaxy S20 FE 5G review

I bought S20 FE 5G a few days ago because my S9+ have a cracked screen (replaced just the glass screen as the lcd screen has no problems), and also the battery has started to bulge, so that got replaced too. I thought it's time for a new phone, walked into samsung store and was told the only S20 in stock was the FE, and the rest is history.

I only opened the camera app today, and just a little disappointed that the shooting methods do not include voice command? Is that one of the compromise of this model's camera app? although I did disable some bloatware via adb; didn't play with the camera prior to debloat, so I can't be sure of this, so maybe there's a package that I need to re-enable/reinstall?

      well did you know if the FE gets hot it stays on 60hz even if its on 120hz and on mine its always on 60hz cause its always hot.

            Can anyone reply to this with the mediainfo of a video shot with this phone please. The mediainfo app is available on the play store. I am interested in knowing the bitrate of the audio, is it crappy 96kbps or something better? Also is it stereo or mono?
            Yet again GSM Arena fail to mention this rather important information in their review.

              The photos are very overexposed. The front or/and rear camera. I do not recommend this phone. I regret very much that I have purchased this phone.

                Vinoth, 25 Dec 2020Hi is there is a thermal issue in Samsung galaxy S20FEi also had a challenge with my s20fe getting hot at the rear side.. i always had to use the cooling app to fan the temperature down.. now my s20fe just went blank screen 1 month after i bought it.. i took it back to be replaced on 16 december 2020 and still waiting for new phone...!!

                    I own an S7 and currently waiting for my S20FE 5g . Inorder to get an SD version of FE i had to sacrifice the warranty .

                        Ive had Samsung notes from note1 to note 8. I bought the s20FE for 5g.
                        Its an unfinished rushed mess. Wifi drops. I have 200mb home wifi. The phone signal is weak everywhere. Since note3 i could travel Glasgow to Edinburgh streaming youtube. S20FE drops several times. Wont open pdf. Screen freezes. Screen oversensitivity. Volume control shit. Im ditching this for the next note asap.

                              things I like: the display is good, unless you come from another Samsung flagship, anyone will be happy. the camera is also good if not the best. battery life is not bad. I have never used any Chinese!! phones so cant say how it fares against those biggies. I specially like the plastic back. one less thing to be afraid of. it doesn't get that warm as other users say.

                              things I don't like: fingerprint reader is so slow and sometimes cant register finger after multiple try. the loudspeaker isn't that loud. it should have been louder. there is non existent security with face unlock. I put the phone in front of my photo few times and not once it didnt unlock.

                              Overall good but not a great phone but not worth the full price Samsung is claiming.

                                How is the Audio recording capabilities? Does loud music distort on playback like for instance if you are in a club or concert setting?
